• Friday, June 7th - Sunday, June 9th

Get your toes tapping with an island celebration of musicians, storytellers, artisans, local food, and so much more by joining in the community-wide fun of the Ocrafolk Festival. This full weekend event is held in the heart of Ocracoke Village, with multiple performances and activities happening around virtually every corner of Silver Lake Harbor.

Highlights of this year’s event include a traditional Ocracoke Square Dance with caller Philip Howard on Saturday night, a Block Party at the Ocracoke Community Square, an evening of storytelling and the Ocrafolk Festival Admiralty Dock Party aboard the Skipjack Wilma Lee. During the day, local shops and vendors will be open with an array of handcrafted goodies and artworks, and local bands and musicians will be performing throughout the village to the delight of island visitors. “Admission Buttons” for the event can be purchased starting Friday and throughout the weekend at the info/merchandise booth, (which is close to The Community Store), and everyone is welcome to attend one, a couple, or all of the exciting events that are in store. A great way for visitors of all ages to discover the heart of the local culture, the Ocrafolk Festival is a true taste of what the laid-back island life is all about.
