Not for the faint of heart, the Blackbeard's Revenge 100 is a relatively new event that first launched in 2019, and which will test the strongest athletes from the Outer Banks area and miles beyond. Covering a lengthy coastal course that extends for 100 miles, this scenic but tough race will push athletes to the limit as they head from the northernmost beaches of the OBX all the way down to the southern tip of Hatteras Island.

Blackbeard's Revenge 100 features a 100 Mile, 100 Mile Relay and 100 Kilometer option, and the full course extends from the northern town of Corolla all the way to Hatteras village. Held at the tail end of March, this course is unique due to the unpredictability of the weather conditions. In the springtime, the Outer Banks can be warm and sunny, hot and balmy, or cold and icy, and athletes will have to weather whatever the OBX brings as they race from point to point. With that being said, the course is paved and consists of flat terrain throughout, which will help athletes make it all the way to the finish line. A true test for athletes of all abilities, the Blackbeard's Revenge 100 is shaping up to be the toughest – and most anticipated – race on the North Carolina coast.
