BCA Polar Plunge

The family-friendly event encourages participants of all ages to take the plunge while helping raise funds to support the Buxton Civic Association’s mission of strengthening community connections, enhancing quality of life for residents, and protecting Buxton’s shoreline and coastal character. Organizers say the event is designed to bring people together for a memorable and lighthearted way to kick off the new year.

After braving the cold Atlantic waters, participants can warm up with hot chocolate and locally roasted coffee courtesy of Blue Room Roasters while enjoying the festive beachside atmosphere. Each registered participant will receive a commemorative event T-shirt, with additional shirts available for purchase during the event.

For supporters unable to attend in person, organizers are also offering a virtual plunge option, allowing participants to join the fun from anywhere while sharing videos and photos online as part of the community celebration.
