Join the Outer Banks Brewing Station in a fun Independence Day weekend run that presents plenty of reason to celebrate. This adult 21 and over celebration starts with a refreshing brew before an easy-going, mile-long jog, walk or run around the heart of the Outer Banks in Kill Devil Hills. Participants are encouraged to wear their patriotic best for the event, as there is a costume contest for the most original outfits in addition to prizes for the fastest male and female participant.
After the quick and easy-going run, the good times continue at the Outer Banks Brewing Station under the famous windmill, as a casual backyard party will be waiting for participants. In addition, the bar will be open a little earlier than usual, so participants can “pre-game” if they so choose. The running event is open to up to 125 participants, and admission for the event includes the Backyard party, chip timing, and a special commemorative T-shirt. A fun event for runners (and beer fans) of all abilities and skill levels, the Outer Banks Beer Mile is a unique way to enjoy the Independence Day spirit with a cold brew or two.
