Located on the oceanfront at Milepost 10.5 in Nags Head, Ship Shape has all the amenities one could need for an unforgettable OBX vacation. This 9-bedroom home sports a private pool and hot tub, a private beach access and dune deck, a rec room, a theater, an elevator that travels to all three levels, a private bath for every bedroom, and a prime spot on the beach while also being near local attractions. You and your crew don't have to choose between lounging by the pool all day or enjoying the rolling surf of the Atlantic Ocean because they're simply a short stroll down the private beach access. A poolside hot tub and cabana transition pool days into pool nights. An elevated sun deck with ocean views is one of many tanning and happy hour spots. No matter the weather, the rec room and theater will keep the young and the young at heart entertained. With 13 TVs, free high-speed wireless internet, a seasonal fireplace (October through March), nine parking spaces, and Saturday check-in, every detail is set up for an easy Outer Banks week. Please note that pets are not permitted. No matter your vacation vibe, Ship Shape is sure to have something for everyone to have an amazing beach week, year after year.

Nags Head Area

Nags Head has been the historic center of family beach vacations since the 1940s and 50s, and a stay at Ship Shape puts you in the middle of it all. Jockey's Ridge State Park, the tallest natural sand dune system on the East Coast, offers hiking, nature trails, picnicking, sail boarding, and a museum and visitor center. The Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve covers 1400 acres of maritime forest with over 5 miles of trails and 50 species of birds. Cast a line from the beach or one of three piers, including Jeannette's Pier with its aquarium annex and interpretive displays, then fill the rest of your week with miniature golf, go-carting, a brand-name outlet mall, specialty shops, and restaurants ranging from casual take-out to fine dining. Historic Roanoke Island, the NC Aquarium, and the fishing village of Wanchese are all an easy drive away.

Pool: 2027 Pool Open: 3/27/2027 - 10/23/2027. 2027 Pool Heat Cost: $600.00. Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.

2027 Holiday Week Check-In: Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.
