Situated in a gated ocean-to-sound community, Great Expectations elevates the Outer Banks vacation to another level entirely. This sensational oceanfront estate pairs iconic ocean views with eight beautifully appointed bedroom suites, abundant amenities for leisure and recreation, and resort-style outdoor living centered on a 28 x 14 private pool. The home is meticulously well-maintained and layered with thoughtful touches such as premium HD channels, a whole-house sound system, and free high-speed wireless internet. Fifteen televisions are placed throughout, along with a home theater, a recreation room, and a highchair for the youngest traveler in your group. An elevator connects all three levels, and eight parking spaces welcome a large gathering of family and friends.

The award-winning resort community of Four Seasons provides guest access to a community pool and community tennis courts. Just beyond the gates, the walkable town of Duck makes this OBX vacation rental as convenient as it is luxurious.

Good to Know

Sleeping Arrangements: Five kings, one queen, two twins, two pyramid bunks, and one trundle across eight bedrooms, each with a private bath, plus four half baths. No pets allowed. This home offers Sunday check-in.

Updates for 2025: Two bedrooms and their corresponding bathrooms received fresh paint, new gas grill.

Updates for 2024: The fireplace in the second floor king bedroom was converted to electric (available October-March), three bathrooms were renovated (two on the first floor and one on the ground floor), and their corresponding bedrooms received fresh paint as well as the first floor den, new window treatments in four bedrooms, new ceiling fans in two bedrooms, and a new gas grill.

EV Charger: A payment of approximately $0.45/kWh is required to use the onsite charger. Payment is made via a QR-code available on the charger at the house.

Pool: The 28 x 14 private pool is open 4/5/2026 - 10/25/2026 and 3/28/2027 - 10/24/2027. Pool heat is available for $500.00. Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.

Special Access Amenities: Queen suite on ground level has a bathroom with roll-under sink and barrier-free shower. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional information.

Community Note: Community tennis and pickleball are available for guests. Please note that vehicles must be parked in the driveway of the home, on-street parking is not available. Trailers, boats, and mobile homes can't be parked in Four Seasons unless they are enclosed in a home's carport/garage. Only licensed drivers can operate golf carts in the community. If you choose to rent a golf cart, register it at the community clubhouse before operating it in Four Seasons. The Town of Duck has beach equipment policies to help keep visits to the shore enjoyable and safe.
