Thrill to front-row views of black bears, deer, and even alligators from the safety of a vehicle with a special Alligator River Guided Open-Air Tram Tour. Held weekly in the summer months, these unique tours present a wild opportunity to check out the local wildlife while learning all about what makes this region wholly unique.

The tour is a great fit for wildlife photographers, birdwatchers, and anyone who adores to get out and explore, and it ventures from the Creef Cut Wildlife Trail parking area deep into the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. Along the way, a friendly guide will point out species of interest, and will present a history of the area and what makes it so special. The tour covers a number of popular areas for wildlife viewing, and lucky visitors may be able to spot a wide range of wild residents along the way.

Visitors are encouraged to bring along comfortable walking shoes, buy spray, and plenty of drinking water, and the cost is roughly $10 per kids and adults age 13 and older. Serving as a great opportunity to discover the wild side of the Outer Banks, this small group tour will fascinate nature fans of all varieties.
