Well, wishes come true at Wish Upon A Star! Located on the oceanfront in the Whalehead community of Corolla, this cavernous home has room for sizable groups or get-togethers, and is well-equipped to make your vacation as carefree as possible. The backyard includes a private pool, ping-pong table, an outdoor bar, a hot tub on the dune deck with constructed-in seating around the outer perimeter, a firepit with seating, and your own private walkway to the beach. Indoors, kids and adults will find countless entertainment in the rec room with pool table and home theater with projection screen. Upstairs, the entire east wall of the great room is windows, showcasing spectacular ocean vistas, and providing a calming place to savor the company of family and friends. Whalehead is a fashionable community among visitors for its proximity to stores and eateries, activities including water sports, the Currituck Lighthouse, and the Corolla Adventure Park. It's also a short drive to the 4x4 beaches of Carova where you can see wild horses!

Outdoor amenities include a huge private pool, a private walkway to the beach with an ocean view hot tub on the dune deck, two outdoor showers, an outdoor half bath, an outdoor cabana bar with a TV, an upsized chess/checkers set, a firepit with seating, and a ping-pong table. Inside, the rec room features a pool table, a media area with a couch, an armchair, and a flatscreen TV, a sports bar with a full-sized refrigerator, sink, and a second TV, and three arcade games. The theater includes seating for 12 and a enormous projection screen TV. A bedroom on this floor offers two double beds with a full shared bath across the hallway.

Six bedrooms are available on the mid level, including five kings and a double bunk. The north east king features exceptional vistas, deck access, and a private bath with soaking sub, tile shower, and double vanities. There are three additional oceanview kings with deck access, a king on the west side of the home, and a bedroom with a double-over-double bunk and private bath. One hot tub is located on the mid level covered deck.

The great room is open and roomy, and includes a seasonal gas fireplace and mounted flat screen TV. The kitchen features two side-by-side full refrigerator/freezers, two sinks, two dishwashers, double ovens, gas stove, crock pot, and Keurig. Three kings with private baths round out this level, two of which are ocean-facing. The northeast king includes a private bath with a huge bespoke tile shower as well as a double vanity.

Updates for 2024: New granite countertop on poolside tiki bar and additional seating at the bar, new couch and rug in rec room, three-season room converted to heated/air conditioned dining nook with new furnishings, new great room furnishings, refurbished dining room chairs, new lighting in the kitchen and dining room, extended pool decking, firepit added with outdoor seating, cornhole supplied, refreshed landscaping with sod in front yard and pool area.
Updates for 2023: Dune deck redesigned and new hot tub on dune deck, pool fence painted white, bespoke surfboard shaped wet bar added to 2nd floor deck, screened-in deck now has windows to make it a three-season room, roof added over poolside bar.
Seasonal Cabana Service: Service dates for the 2026 season are 05/02/2026 - 09/19/2026. This home receives beachside cabana & beach chair set-up services during your stay. This complimentary service includes one 10x10 cabana tent and six beach chairs. Set-up hours are 10am to 5pm daily (except check-in/check-out day), weather permitting. This service is not available for partial-week stays and is subject to local ordinances. Service supplied by Farmdog Beach Services. Additional add-on services and other units are available upon request for an additional charge.
Pool: Heated by propane. Max. pool temp is 85 degrees.
Special Access Conveniences: There is a ramp leading to the home and an elevator. One mid level king offers a low barrier shower and roll-under sink. Please note the pool is not wheelchair accessible. None of our homes are ADA compliant.
