A 35 by 20 foot private pool anchors the outdoor living at The Sandy Blue, a semi-oceanfront Carolina Designs home in Section A of Ocean Sands in Corolla. Six bedrooms, five with king beds, a separate hot tub, and two outdoor showers set the stage for an easy Outer Banks beach week. Mornings begin barefoot on the shoreline, afternoons belong to the water, and evenings unfold on the large deck as the light fades over the Atlantic.

Relax on the beach or splash around in the large, private pool at The Sandy Blue. This beautifully decorated OBX vacation rental boasts ocean views from the upper living level and deck, and offers special amenities to please everyone in your traveling group, including Smart TVs throughout and free high-speed wireless internet. Six bedrooms, five full baths, and a half bath give a large group plenty of room to spread out, while the rec room and poolside seating keep everyone happily occupied between beach trips.

Spend your mornings walking the shoreline as the sun rises, take the afternoon to try your hand at a water sport you have been putting off, and enjoy your evenings from the large deck with ocean views.

Good to Know

Bedding: Five kings and one queen across six bedrooms, three of which have private baths. Five full baths and one half bath serve the home. No pets allowed. Saturday check-in.

Pool Season: 2026 pool open 4/4/2026 to 10/24/2026; 2027 pool open 3/27/2027 to 10/23/2027. Pool heat is available for $500.00 in both 2026 and 2027.

TVs: Eight TVs in the home, with Smart TVs in all bedrooms with Spectrum app for live TV and streaming capability (guests log into their personal accounts).

Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 8-10 degrees above the ambient air temperature and has a maximum setting of 80 degrees. Example: If the ambient air is 65 degrees, the pool would heat to approximately 73-75 degrees.
