Located on the oceanfront in Nags Head just south of Jennette's Pier, The High Tider offers vacation amenities, coastal style, and memorable vistas to all who stay. A private beach walkway provides direct access to the ocean's edge, making it simple to appreciate long days by the water. Multiple decks invite you to stop and take in expansive sunrise vistas, watch surfers near the Pier, and relax in the coastal breeze. The pool area is designed to be both calming and fun, featuring a private pool, a poolside hot tub, and seating for all-day relaxing in the sun. Inside, refreshed interiors showcase refreshed furnishings, modern lighting, and a clean coastal aesthetic throughout. Cavernous gathering areas on each level allow everybody in your group to come together while still appreciating their own space. A thoughtfully designed kitchen and dining area make preparing and sharing meals a joy. With its prime location in South Nags Head and a full suite of conveniences, The High Tider makes for an exceptional setting for your next Outer Banks vacation.
Updates for 2027: The kitchen is being refreshed to include two fridges, two dishwashers, and two sinks, a new roof, new pool furnishings and polywood chairs, new furnishings throughout, and updated landscaping. Subject to change until complete.

The ground floor welcomes guests with a comfortable and versatile space ideal for group hangouts. A media room with ample seating provides the ideal setting for movie nights or unwinding after a day at the beach. A close by wet bar, equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, and microwave, adds convenience for snacks and drinks without ever leaving the action. Sliding glass doors lead directly to the pool area and on to the private beach walkway, creating an painless connection between indoor comfort and all the outdoor enjoyment. Two bedrooms offer comfortable sleeping accommodations, including a king bedroom and a twin bunk room that is well-suited for younger guests. Both bedrooms have a private bath; the king room has a walk-in shower and the bunk room has a shower/tub.

Designed with both privacy and connection in mind, the middle floor features numerous bedroom suites, each with its own private bath. The east and west bedrooms open to covered decks, where guests can savor fresh ocean air and their peaceful surroundings. The rec room is located on the east end of this floor, offering a view of the ocean and Jennette's Pier. There are two TVs, a hightop game table, a pool table, and a chess table that make this area a welcoming space to gather for games and conversation. A second wet bar with a drink refrigerator, microwave, and sink enhances the functionality of this level, making it easy to keep refreshments close by. This level offers a ideal balance of restful bedrooms and shared living space for your group.

The top floor showcases an open-concept layout designed to highlight the home's exceptional oceanfront vistas. The great room is filled with natural light and features comfortable seating arranged to take full advantage of the broad windows overlooking the Atlantic. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped and positioned adjacent to the dining area, creating a natural flow for entertaining and shared meals. A lofted seating area offers a place to relax with a book or morning coffee while enjoying the scenery. Step outside onto the oceanfront deck to experience impressive sunrises and the calming sounds of the waves, completing this inviting top-level gathering space. A king bedroom can be found on the west end of this floor that features a bay window with a Sound view and a huge private bath with a walk-in shower and soaking tub.

Updates for 2026: New interior paint, artwork, lighting, linens, and decor throughout, new furnishings in the great room and lofted seating area, new premium cookware and Keurig in kitchen, new pool heater, outdoor shower, foot wash, grille and an upgraded relaxing area outside.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.
Seasonal Cabana Service: Service dates for the 2027 season are 05/01/2027 - 09/18/2027. This home receives beachside cabana & beach chair set-up services during your stay. This complimentary service includes one 10x10 cabana tent and six beach chairs. Set-up hours are 10am to 5pm daily (except check-in/check-out day), weather permitting. This service is not available for partial-week stays and is subject to local ordinances. Service included by Farmdog Beach Services. Additional add-on services and other units are available upon request for an additional charge.
Please Note: The fireplace is not available for guest use.
This home is located two tons south of Jennette's Pier. At 1,000 feet long, this is the longest Outer Banks pier! It hosts an aquarium, seasonal camps, fishing tournaments, surf contests and more.
2027 Holiday Week Check-In: Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.
