Located on the oceanfront in Nags Head just south of Jennette's Pier, The High Tider offers vacation comforts, coastal style, and unforgettable views to all who stay. A private beach walkway provides direct access to the ocean's edge, making it easy to spend long, unhurried days by the water. Multiple decks invite you to pause and take in panoramic sunrise views, watch surfers near the Pier, and relax in the coastal breeze. The pool area is designed to be both restful and fun, featuring a private pool, a poolside hot tub, and plenty of seating for all-day lounging in the sun. Inside, refreshed interiors showcase updated furnishings, modern lighting, and a clean coastal aesthetic throughout. Spacious gathering areas on each level allow everyone in your group to come together while still enjoying their own space, and a thoughtfully designed kitchen and dining area make preparing and sharing meals a joy. Updates for 2027: Renovations are planned for 2027, with the highlight being a new chef's kitchen with two of everything -- refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and sinks. The roof will be replaced, and the landscaping will be updated. Subject to change until complete.
Amenities and Accommodations
THE HIGH TIDER sleeps your group in eight bedrooms, each with a private bath: seven king bedrooms and one room with two twin bunks. In all, the home offers nine full baths and one half bath. An elevator connects the floors for easy access with luggage, groceries, and beach gear.
Outdoor living: The oceanfront setting is the star, with a private beach walkway leading straight to the sand and multiple decks for sunrise views. Poolside, guests enjoy a 28.0 x 14.0 private pool, a hot tub, a gas grill, and one outdoor shower. A volleyball area and basketball hoop add friendly competition to your afternoons, and there are eight parking spaces for larger groups traveling in multiple vehicles.
Indoor living: Twelve TVs are spread throughout the home, and a recreation room gives your group a dedicated place to gather. Free high-speed wireless internet is included throughout the home.
Good to know: This is a Saturday check-in home located at Milepost 16.5 in Nags Head. No pets allowed.
Nags Head and the Outer Banks
South Nags Head is the historic heart of Outer Banks beach vacations, a place families have returned to since the 1940s and 50s. From THE HIGH TIDER, you are at the gateway to the Pea Island Reserve and National Park Service coastline, where the shoreline feels more remote and the beach days feel longer. Head north in Nags Head for a brand-name outlet mall, miniature golf, go-carting, specialty shops, and restaurants ranging from casual takeout to fine dining. Jockey's Ridge State Park, the tallest natural sand dune system on the East Coast, offers hiking, nature trails, picnicking, and sail boarding across 426 acres, while Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve protects 1,400 acres of maritime forest with more than 5 miles of trails. An easy drive brings you to historic Roanoke Island, the NC Aquarium, and the fishing village of Wanchese.
Updates for 2026: New interior paint, artwork, lighting, bedding, and decor throughout, new furniture in the great room and lofted seating area, new premium cookware and Keurig in kitchen, new pool heater, outdoor shower, foot wash, grill and all new pool area furniture.
Pool: 2027 pool open dates are 3/27/2027 - 10/23/2027. 2027 pool heat cost is $500.00. Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.
Seasonal Cabana Service: Service dates for the 2027 season are 05/01/2027 - 09/18/2027. This home receives beachside cabana & beach chair set-up services during your stay. This complimentary service includes one 10x10 cabana tent and six beach chairs. Set-up hours are 10am to 5pm daily (except check-in/check-out day), weather permitting. This service is not available for partial-week stays and is subject to local ordinances. Service provided by Farmdog Beach Services. Additional add-on services and other rentals are available upon request for an additional charge.

This home is located three lots south of Jennette's Pier. At 1,000 feet long, this is the longest Outer Banks pier! It hosts an aquarium, seasonal camps, fishing tournaments, surf contests and more.
2027 Holiday Week Check-In: Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.
