Reserve STAY ANCHORED for a slice of paradise and settle into the South Nags Head location, ideal for those searching for a more secluded stretch of beach and a quieter pace within easy reach of the Pea Island Reserve and National Park Service coastline. Eight bedrooms, seven of them with private baths, spread across three levels served by an elevator, so grandparents, parents, and kids can all find their own comfortable corner. Outside, a 30 x 18 private pool with the option to heat, a hot tub, a gas grill, and a private walkway to the sand round out an OBX vacation rental built for large groups. Two dogs are welcome with a fee, six parking spaces keep arrivals simple, and free high-speed wireless internet connects the whole house.

The Nags Head Location

Nags Head has been the historic center of Outer Banks family beach vacations since the 1940s and 50s, and this stretch of South Nags Head keeps things wonderfully low-key. Fish from the beach or one of three area piers, including Jeannette's Pier with its aquarium annex, wind turbines, and interpretive wildlife displays. A short drive north brings miniature golf, go-carts, a brand-name outlet mall, specialty shops, and restaurants ranging from casual take-out to fine dining. Explore Jockey's Ridge State Park, the tallest natural sand dune system on the East Coast, or wander the 1400 acres and five-plus miles of trails at Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve. Historic Roanoke Island, the NC Aquarium, and the fishing village of Wanchese are all an easy drive away.

Pool: Pool heated by propane. Max pool temp is 85 degrees.

Path to Beach: Due to shifting ocean currents and wind, it is normal for sand to accumulate on this home's beach steps and walkway.
