Overview

Being semi-oceanfront, you're only a short distance to the beach access before you're walking along the wooden boardwalk that leads to the sandy dunes and blue water for unbeatable beach days all week. OBX Waves has many amenities that take a vacation to the next level, including a 26 x 11 private pool, hot tub, rec room, two outdoor showers, and multiple gathering areas for you and your group to simply enjoy time spent together. Ocean views are not to be missed from the top floor deck, and the undeveloped land to the north allows for additional privacy while spending time outdoors.

Six of the seven bedrooms have private baths, so everyone in your party can settle in comfortably, and four parking spaces make arrival day easy. Free high-speed wireless internet, six TVs, and a rec room built for friendly competition round out this Corolla OBX vacation rental. Two dogs are welcome with a fee, and this home features a Friday check-in. Located in Sec. H of Ocean Sands, guests also have access to community tennis.

The Corolla Setting

Corolla, known as the "gold coast" of Currituck County, sits at the northern end of the Outer Banks, where wide beaches of finely textured sand meet clean rolling surf. Nearby attractions include the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, built in 1875 and the only natural red brick lighthouse on the East Coast, and the Whalehead Club at Currituck Heritage Park, a restored 1920s-era hunt club on the sound. Take a guided beach tour in search of the wild horses of Corolla, book a kayak tour or surfing lesson, or catch the latest release at the local movie theater. Grocery stores, gift shops, surf shops, coffee shops, and ice cream parlors are all close by at shopping centers including Monteray Plaza, Tim Buck II, and Corolla Light Town Center.

Pool Season: 2026 Pool Open: 4/3/2026 - 10/23/2026, with pool heat offered free of charge. 2027 Pool Open: 3/26/2027 - 10/22/2027, with pool heat offered free of charge.

Updates for 2025: New pool games (in-pool basketball hoop, cornhole, and Connect 4), new outdoor furniture, rec room upgraded to include three arcade machines, a shuffleboard table, a game table, and a new larger TV.

Updates for 2024: Fresh interior paint, all new bedding and artwork in bedrooms, new king beds, can lights upgraded to LED on the top floor, the first floor deck and exterior stairs were replaced, new rugs in select rooms, decor changes on the top floor, updated pool lighting, pool deck extended for a larger space.

Please Note: The great room fireplace is not available for guest use.

Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 85. degrees.
