Just a short stroll to the beach on a dedicated walkway, Fairwinds offers a lovely and convenient setting for guests to create vacation memories. Fun-filled gathering spaces occupy all three levels, from a rec room on the ground floor to a media den and a sunny top floor great room, and a nice variety of comfortable bedding options sleeps the whole group in six bedrooms with four full baths and a half bath. Two of those bedrooms are king suites with private baths.

Outside, a 30 x 13 private pool and hot tub anchor a spacious sun deck, while a volleyball area and basketball hoop keep friendly competition going all week. Furnished wraparound decks offer sun, shade, ocean and sound vistas, and lighthouse views to create a peaceful setting to unwind and relax. Two dogs are welcome for an additional fee, free high-speed wireless internet keeps everyone connected, and five parking spaces make arrival day easy at this Corolla OBX vacation rental with Friday check-in.

Amenities and Location

With eight TVs, three DVD players, a recreation room, and a highchair on hand, Fairwinds is set up for a comfortable stay with guests of every age. A seasonal fireplace (October through March) makes the great room and den especially cozy for off-season getaways.

The Whalehead neighborhood places you near the heart of Corolla, the "gold coast" of Currituck County, where the main attraction remains the expansive, wide beaches of finely textured sand and clean rolling surf. The historic Whalehead Club at Currituck Heritage Park and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse are both nearby, as are guided tours in search of the wild horses that roam the beaches to the north. Grocery stores, gift shops, surf shops, coffee shops, and ice cream parlors are found in local shopping centers.

Updates for 2025: New appliances in kitchen, remodeled top floor king bathroom, new ceiling fans, new bedroom furniture in middle floor queen, new vanity/mirrors in middle floor bath, new furniture in middle floor den, additional pool area seating, new seating and beverage fridge in rec room.

Updates for 2024: New sofa and chairs in the great room, new furniture in the top floor king bedroom, comfy chairs added to all bedrooms, all new bedding, new decor throughout, new stairway carpet, new hardware in three of the private baths, updated landscaping, the picnic tables were refinished, and four new custom benches were made for the wraparound deck table.

Security Camera: This property has a camera installed on the exterior of the front door and the exterior of the second floor back door.
