Overview
Undoubtedly, you and your vacation group will enjoy your beach getaway while staying here. The great room, kitchen, and dining area on the top floor offer uninterrupted views of the ocean, painting the east wall in the natural beauty of the horizon. The private pool can be heated for an additional fee, and many loungers and chairs are positioned around it to ensure you get the most out of your sunny vacation days. Located between the house and the fence that surrounds the pool is a hot tub to end each evening relaxing in. A gate door from the pool fence leads to a shared set of steps that take you onto the dune and towards what everyone visits the area for, the beach!
Seven bedrooms and six full baths spread comfortably across three levels, with three kings, two queens, one pyramid bunk, and three twin bunks to sleep a large family or two traveling together. Eight TVs, free high-speed wireless internet, two highchairs, a seasonal fireplace (October through March), and seven parking spaces round out this Nags Head oceanfront home. Two dogs are welcome with an additional fee, and check-in day is Saturday.

The ground floor is built for downtime, with a rec room featuring a flat screen TV. Two bedrooms are also located on this level. Two full bathrooms are on this floor, and both are accessible from the hallway. Laundry is also located here.
A door from the rec room leads out to the covered deck area where the hot tub is. Through the fence is a 24x12 private pool, poolside seating, and a gas grill and charcoal grill, everything you need for long afternoons outside and easy dinners at home. A gate door from the pool area exits to a common area between Whitecaps and the neighboring house. They share a set of steps that is a beach access that leads straight onto the sandy beach of Nags Head.

Two of the four bedrooms on this level have private baths, ideal for couples sharing the house. The other two bedrooms share nearby access to the hallway bathroom. All four bedrooms have flatscreen TVs. The east bedroom has a door with direct deck access to the middle floor oceanview deck that overlooks the pool area, so you can step outside for salt air and the sound of the surf before anyone else is awake.

The top floor is primarily made up of gathering areas such as the great room, kitchen, and dining area. The great room has seating facing a flatscreen TV. The kitchen offers a peninsula island with seating on the opposite side. The dining area has two large tables with seating for many, so the whole group can eat together. A centrally positioned sliding glass door opens to a sundeck lined with Adirondack chairs that looks out to the ocean for as far as one can see. This deck is the optimal spot to sit in the early morning hours to watch the sun rise over the horizon. If you're looking in the right places, you'll likely see dolphins off in the distance. A bedroom is on the west end of the top floor and has a flatscreen TV and a shared bath that is also accessible from the hallway for those spending time on this level.
Nags Head Location
Nags Head has been the historic center of family beach vacations on the Outer Banks since the 1940s and 50s, and WHITECAPS puts you right in the middle of it at Milepost 16. Northern Nags Head adds specialty shops and restaurants ranging from casual take-out to fine dining.
