The ground floor recreation room provides entertainment space with kitchenette. A half bathroom is centrally located. A door opens to outdoor amenities guaranteed to appeal to all age groups. Guests will enjoy an oceanfront pool (with the option to heat), plenty of poolside furnishing, a gas grill, a picnic table, and a 6-person hot tub. The convenient beach access next door provides quick access to sandy beaches and rolling surf. The sleeping option on the ground level is a bedroom furnished with a double bunk and a trundle with a private bath.

Elevator doors open on the first floor where guests can choose from charming bedroom suites. This level offers one suite with a king bed, flatscreen TV, private covered deck, and a private bath. There are two oceanfront suites with queen beds, flatscreen TVs, direct access to the covered deck, and private baths. A versatile bedroom has two extra-large twin beds (that can be converted to a king bed with advance notice), a flatscreen TV, and a private bathroom. A hallway access door leads to a furnished covered deck that overlooks the pool area, where you can relax to the sound of rolling surf and balmy sea breezes. Laundry facilities are conveniently located on this floor.

The sunny great room welcomes guests to the second floor. This space is infused with revitalizing natural sunlight, sectional sofa and armchair seating, flatscreen TV, coffee bar, and seasonal gas fireplace set to a backdrop of invigorating ocean views. A central dining table seats ten guests and the kitchen bar has casual seating for four. The kitchen overlooks the great room and provides a full refrigerator, range/oven, microwave, dishwasher, waffle maker, Keurig, and plenty of counter space and storage. A half bath is centrally located and doors open to a wide sun deck that offers outdoor dining and sensational ocean views. This level is completed with a king suite with a flatscreen TV, private sun deck, and private bathroom.
Amenities & Features
THE SANDMAN offers exceptional amenities for your OBX vacation rental experience. Enjoy 8 TVs throughout the home. The 24x14 private pool can be heated for an additional $450 fee. Additional outdoor features include a hot tub, gas grill, outdoor shower, and basketball hoop, plus 5 parking spaces for guest convenience. Pet-friendly accommodations welcome up to 2 dogs with an additional fee, and free high-speed wireless internet keeps everyone connected.
Updates for 2025: Great room wet bar converted to a coffee bar with upper cabinets, new oven in kitchen, new stools at kitchen counter, larger TV added to ground floor bunk room, new dryer.
Updates for 2024: New hot tub, 65" flatscreen TV mounted above fireplace in great room, new refrigerator in kitchen.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 80 degrees.
TVs: There is the Spectrum App and streaming on all TVs. (Guests can log into own streaming accounts such as Netflix.)
Beach Access: This home does not have a private beach access; there is a beach access located directly next to the house.
This home is located a few lots north of Jennette's Pier. At 1,000 feet long, this is the longest Outer Banks pier! It hosts an aquarium, seasonal camps, fishing tournaments, surf contests and more.
2027 Holiday Week Check-In: Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.
