Build a beautiful resort village on a favorite Hatteras Island location, and they will come. The Cottages at the Cape are the closest rental units to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. They share a long border with the national park and are steps from the beachfront. Bring the bikes because Buxton's unique shops, restaurants, and lighthouse are all very close. Forget the 4WD vehicle - those in the know have discovered that the three jetties to the east of the cottages produce some of the best fishing, surfing, and swimming on this island. Walking to the south will take you to open beaches, the famed Cape Point, and, if luck is on your side during the summer, a few sea turtle nests (be careful to stay outside the barriers). Arnold is a spacious house at milepost 19 in the quiet and relaxing neighborhood of South Creek Acres with views of both the ocean and the canal.At just 350 feet away, guests will enjoy the close proximity to the beach, as well as access to the South Creek Acres community pool and tennis courts (open all year). Two small steps get you into a spacious living room/dining room. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the extras. Relax on the deck off of the kitchen and watch the local birds along the canal. There is also a grass backyard for pets and kids to play. In 2024, the community pool was open from May 11th to September 18th. Opening and closing dates for 2025 will be provided when made available by the HOA.*Please do not park on the grass. This rental property does not include sheets and towels. However, an optional package can be purchased for an additional charge.
