Brand new and designed with entertaining in mind, The Clubhouse boasts eleven bedrooms, a home theater, a fully equipped kitchen, and a kitchenette.

The most unique main-level feature - and the best rainy-day insurance - is the indoor HD golf simulator room. The Tru Golf Vista Pro 12 model includes an HD projector, a premium turf hitting area, and a TruTrack two tracking system using infrared sensors. The system allows for play on 98 golf courses including Bandon Dunes, Bethpage Black, Pinehurst 2, Pacific Dunes, and The Ocean Course at Kiawah. (This space is for adults only.)

The well-equipped kitchenette, steps from the outdoor patio and pool, allows for easy entertainment opportunities both inside and outside. In addition to the simulator, the rec room presents multiple TVs, a shuffleboard table, and an arcade console with sixty of the best games from the ’80s. Additionally, the large home theater room with nine theater seats, a sectional, and bean bags provides an incredible viewing experience for movies or gaming. The unit includes an HDMI input so you can bring your own gaming systems to play on the large HD theatre screen. In addition to the theater room, all bedrooms and living rooms in the house have smart TVs, prepared to stream favorite movies and shows. The house is equipped with a multiple-zone SONOS sound system. Multiple sound zones allow you to enjoy music in different areas of the house, outdoor space, and pool area. The pool area boasts great space for relaxing and entertaining. The screened porch off the kitchenette provides protected space to lounge, host meals, and find shade on the sunniest of days. The pool deck is bordered by 10 lounge chairs, a wet deck in the pool that provides a fun space for little kids to play, a basketball hoop, a corn hole set, and other pool deck games. In the carport area, there are two outdoor showers to rinse off from a day at the beach, as well as ample space to store your boogie boards and beach supplies. Offered by the owners as a thank you for staying, a local rental company will provide you with a daily in-season setup of a 10-foot by 10-foot tent with six beach chairs on the beach in front of the home.

Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar

Welcome to the home of the happy oyster where for over 40 years the oyster has been our world. The Outer Banks only authentic oyster bar is the place to enjoy sensational fare from the sea washed down with your favorite brew or cocktail. We serve by the peck, pound, and dozen, raw or steamed to perfection. Kicked back casual, down to earth friendly staff, and reasonable prices make Awful Arthur’s Oyster Bar the all-time favorite of locals and travelers alike.

The idea wasn’t to set out and establish a new concept restaurant on the Outer Banks, but that’s exactly what Awful Arthur’s owner Jo Whitehead and her late husband, Jay, accomplished more than 35 years ago when they opened the area’s first authentic oyster bar.

Awful Arthur’s opened in May 1984 on the Outer Banks. “We embraced the concept of an authentic copper top bar with the idea of it being a major drawing card and it still is,” explains Whitehead. “I get oysters wherever they are local. We follow the warm waters.”

Just across from the ocean, in Kill Devil Hills, oyster season is year-round at Awful Arthur’s. Diners can take a seat at the copper-topped bar to observe the staff shucking oysters, served raw or steamed, along with shrimp, crab legs and clams all steamed to perfection.

It’s not just the raw bar that’s earned Awful Arthur’s both local and national recognition, including being named one of America’s greatest oyster bars by Coastal Living magazine. The restaurant is a seafood-lover’s paradise, offering the freshest catches available.
