Overview

This is not your ordinary Whalehead build. The highly experienced OBX developer who has built some of the largest and most amenity-filled homes on the Outer Banks now delivers Ocean Sol, one of the largest, best in class additions to the spectacular homes in Whalehead.

This one-of-a-kind 15-bedroom home features all custom tile oversized private baths and sunshine-filled ocean breeze decks. Sleeping arrangements include eight kings, five queens, and four pyramid bunks, supported by 15 full baths and two half baths, so every member of a large group or multi-family gathering has a private retreat at the end of the day.

Indoor amenities include the OBX essential rec room, plus an amazing outdoor private pool and hot tub. However, Ocean Sol takes OBX vacationing to a new level with a massive in-home theater with both sofas and armchairs, extra sitting areas to spread out when needed, and a fantastic open concept event capable great room and kitchen. With 19 TVs, free high-speed wireless internet, an elevator, and 11 parking spaces, the practical details are handled as thoughtfully as the showpieces.

One of the newest and largest Whalehead homes, Ocean Sol is located less than a quarter-mile from the beach access, with the majority of the walk to the beach being along a pedestrian-safe community-maintained sidewalk that leads directly to the beach access and the ideal beaches of Whalehead in Corolla. Two dogs are welcome with an additional fee, and this OBX vacation rental features a Saturday check-in.

Outdoor Living

The backyard features a large private pool that can be heated, plus a poolside hot tub. Privacy-minded enclosed outdoor showers, two of them, are located near the pool, where you can rinse off sand and saltwater after returning from the beach, before jumping in the pool or retreating inside to enjoy the specialty amenities for the evening. A gas grill and expansive decking make outdoor dining easy, and the upper-level grilling deck delivers ocean views while you cook for the group.

Corolla, known as the gold coast of Currituck County, surrounds you with wide beaches of finely textured sand and clean rolling surf. Nearby you will find the historic Whalehead Club at Currituck Heritage Park, the 1875 Currituck Beach Lighthouse, guided tours in search of the wild horses of Corolla, kayak trips, surfing lessons, golf, tennis, and shopping at Monteray Plaza, Tim Buck II, and Corolla Light Town Center.

Pool: Max pool temp is 85 degrees. The private pool measures 32.0 x 16.0. The 2026 pool season runs 4/4/2026 to 10/24/2026 and the 2027 pool season runs 3/27/2027 to 10/23/2027, with pool heat available for $700.00 in both years.

Special Access Amenities: King bedroom (3) on the top floor has a private bathroom with a roll-under sink, a large roll-in shower with shower seat, and grab bars. There is an elevator available. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional information.

2027 Holiday Week Check-In: Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.
