Four levels of decks, three levels of interior living space totaling over 5,500 square feet, an ocean view, and a private pool! All this and more are yours to enjoy when staying at Sunlight. This home shines (sun)light on all the best things that an Outer Banks vacation has to offer. A private pool for splish-splashing fun any time of day or night, a hammock and a hot tub on the middle floor deck to feel the fresh coastal air while relaxing, and a rec room for guaranteed entertainment, even in the cooler months or on a rainy day. The large fenced backyard will be your furry family members favorite spot to let out their vacation excitement. Being in Whalehead, this home is located within walking distance from two beach accesses (Marlin and Dolphin), and a short drive to a couple beach accesses that have public parking lots (Sailfish and Bonito). Monterey Plaza is right around the corner with a Food Lion, OBX Bait and Tackle, Lighthouse Bagels, Bernie's Brother Grill and Bar, Whalehead Brewery, and more.

The ground floor rec room offers a pool table, a wet bar with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink, and an adjacent media area with a smart TV and a seasonal gas fireplace. For the vacationers who have to check in with things back home, there is a separate office space with a built-in desk and a chair. Three bedrooms, each with a private bath, are available on the ground level. Two bedrooms are furnished with king beds, the third has two double beds. A half bath and laundry facilities (two washer/dryer sets) are located on this floor.
There is a long list of outdoor amenities to enjoy at Sunlight! The private pool is complemented by a poolside cabana and loungers for those who want to bask in the sun and those who want to hang poolside but keep in the shade. The large fenced backyard make for the perfect spot for the four-legged vacationers to run and play, and a volleyball area invites you and your group to spark up a little friendly competition. An enclosed outdoor shower makes rinsing off the day a truly relaxing experience. Additional outdoor features to note include a gas grill, a basketball hoop in the driveway, and an outdoor half bath.

The middle floor is dedicated to sleeping accommodations offering five bedrooms. Two king bedrooms have their own private baths, both with shower/tub combos, and direct deck access from the bedroom. The queen bedroom has a private bath with a shower/tub combo. A third king bedroom on this level has a shared bath that is accessible for those who choose the bunk room as their landing spot for the week. The bunk room is furnished with a pyramid bunk and a twin bunk.

The highlight of the second floor is the open concept great room, kitchen, and dining areas that allow you and your group to spend time together while enjoying the ocean view, without being cramped in one small space. The great room offers sofa and armchair seating, a seasonal gas fireplace, a smart TV, and a nearby shuffleboard table. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including double dishwashers and microwaves. In addition to the counter-height seating at the kitchen island, there are two dining tables. One of the dining tables is positioned in the sunroom for elevated views towards the ocean. A king bedroom with direct deck access and a private bath with a walk-in shower round out the top floor.

Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.
Beach Access: This home is located 170 yards from the Marlin Public Beach Access.

2027 Holiday Week Check-In: Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.
