Off the beaten path, Dockside Grille is a hidden hangout on Colington Road that locals love and tourists are quickly discovering.

It’s a friendly, laid-back sort of place where you can enjoy a delicious casual meal and also relax with drinks on the creek side deck - or have a game of pool, a smoke and a cool beer on their screened gazebo.

Best known for its fresh local-caught seafood and on-site smoked BBQ with Dockside‘s special sauce recipe, the restaurant’s other favorite dishes include crabcakes, shrimp & grits and prime rib. Sides like baked beans, slaw and potato salad are homemade, and among popular appetizers are crab dip, jalapeno poppers and onion straws.

Open year round, Dockside is one of the few venues on the Outer Banks hosting live acoustic music throughout the year and nightly during the season. Other nights you can watch NFL Football on eight TVs, or try your luck at the casino games.

It’s also a great place for your favorite weekend breakfast of omelets, eggs or wraps with choice of meat. Or you can grab a stuffed biscuit and coffee to go.

Hours and entertainment days vary off-season, so call for details during fall and winter. You’ll find Dockside Grille  just a few miles off the Bypass on the left, a short distance from Colington Café.
