Red Sky Café wants its guests to enjoy “a memorial dining experience.“ The café’s décor, dominated by earthy shades of red and green, creates a casual and inviting atmosphere and also provides a dimly lit dining room for romantic evenings. It’s location, across the road from Duck Town Park, makes it a great stop for pre-concert dinners. The café is open daily for lunch and dinner (with a break in between) and year round with an off-season schedule.
Covering Southwestern to Southern to Thai, Red Sky’s cuisine also includes traditional American entrees prepared with an eclectic flair and seasoned with homemade dressings and sauces. It’s duck, rib and steak dinner entrees are either wood fired or slow roasted.
For lunch Red Sky kicks popular fare up a notch with a touch of Thai or basil pesto seasoning or ample portions of apple-smoked bacon. In addition to sandwiches and wraps, the lunch menu includes Red Sky’s own house-roasted pork pulled barbecue, as well as several vegetarian choices.
Chef Wes’s specialty, Southern-style Shrimp & Grits is both a lunch and dinner favorite.
Made with fresh greens gathered from local gardens, the House Salad is enhanced with Granny Smith apples and a homemade ginger vinaigrette. Other rare treats include a local seafood and veggie stew, roasted Chorizo sausage with mango coconut cream and the Café’s Caprese dinner salad.
Red Sky’s catering offers these same “cooked-from-scratch” meals for wedding, anniversary or other special events and will serve at any Outer Banks location, including Corova.
Chef Wes and catering manager Eric Kallestead say they “will go all the way to wow you.”
