Once Upon a Tide is a five bedroom vacation home in the Chicahauk subdivision of Southern Shores. The private pool, hot tub, and quiet, low-traffic streets, make this the perfect location to relax and unwind while enjoying the ocean view from the deck on your next Outer Banks vacation.

Known for its quiet neighborhood streets, Chicahauk also offers its guests a community park with tennis courts, a basketball court, and play area for children. Community beach accesses run throughout the community for those that want to walk to the beach, or you can take advantage of the guest parking area near the main entrance of the subdivision which puts you close to the main life-guarded beach access and light-controlled crosswalk. From the front door down the driveway, take a left on Clam Shell, 300 feet to the bike path. Follow it to Ocean Blvd. Cross the road and go down the beach access up the steps over the dune walkway and down the steps to putting your toes in the sand. A total distance of 1500 feet or 500 yards from the front door to the beach.

Centrally located in Southern Shores, Once Upon a Tide offers a peaceful, secluded setting, but is just a short distance from shopping and activities to the north and south. To the north, Duck and Corolla offer shopping, dining, and watersports galore. While the southern towns of Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head also offer historical sites, shopping, dining and fishing piers.
