Direct NC sunshine along the coast can be intense and overwhelming, especially after a few days if you are not use to it. Appreciate a very natural look with bushes and unmanicured live oak trees that provide nice break spots with shade, there is still plenty of sunshine. The shade is a nice relief if you have sunburn or just need a break. The great room with new leather sectional invites everybody to gather for good times. Located in the cul-de-sac off Caffey's Inlet Hamlet, just a few mins. from the Village of Duck, "Ocean View" provides simple access to the ocean and sound, as well as a wide variety of activities in the area. Duck Village offers running paths, sidewalks and soundside board walks to locally owned family stores and eateries. Savor an evening out with family and friends! "Ocean View" is a semi-oceanfront home, located on a corner lot at the end of the cul-de-sac directly across from the beach access! 

Ground Level: Outside amenities include a patio with private pool, hot tub, gas grille, charcoal grille, covered area with picnic table by the pool, outside shower and mini sports field. Inside you'll find a King Semi-Private Master Bedroom with patio access that shares the bathroom with the game room with TV, foosball table, Queen Sleep Couch and slider access to the mini sports field. 

Mid Level: Offers a King Master Bedroom with flat-screen TV, walk-in closet and private deck, Bedroom with DuoBunk, Trundle and deck access, Bedroom with Bunk Set and Single, full hall bathroom and laundry area with washer and dryer.

Top Level: King Master Bedroom with flat-screen TV, walk-in closet and private deck, great room with ocean vistas, flat-screen TV, leather sectional & recliners and stereo, half bath, kitchen with breakfast bar seating 4, dining area seating 10 with access to an ocean view deck with picnic table.

Caffeys Inlet offers a community sound side board walk for fishing, crabbing,  picnics, and strong folks with little boats can launch from there.

Beach Cabana Service: 4 chairs and 1 umbrella will be set up Monday- Friday at the Beach Access directly across the street from this home (Carroll Drive community beach access). Look for a Brindley Beach tag on the umbrella with property number CI1. Weather permitting they will be set up from 10 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday, Memorial Day to Labor Day. Umbrellas and chairs may not be set up on extremely windy or rainy days.

Linens and towels supplied at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are supplied. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

SPARKLE CLUB: Guests will be able to arrive at their vacation home at 12:00 pm with access to the first level of the home and the pool area only (be advised the pool and spa may not be cleaned by noon, if the home offers a private pool). Please do not attempt to go to any other level in your vacation home until the housekeeping team has finished their work OR 4:00 pm check in time. *This service will not be available after the 2025 rental season.

Great location close to town (an easy 10 min. bicycle ride-we biked nearly every day into town for dinner & ice cream). House is set up great for families with tons to do. Booking: After booking, you will receive an e-mail with instructions to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your online payment within 3 days, to avoid cancellation. During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. We offer optional travel insurance as well as other optional costs that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. *Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 3 days to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Independently owned by a member of one of the Outer Banks’ oldest families, the Ben Franklin store is stocked with just about everything a visitor would need to go to the beach.

 

Ben Franklin stores were once part of a five-and-dime retail empire, with about 2,500 locations across the country in its heyday. As decades passed and the times and customers began to change, many closed their doors, leading to fewer than 150 of these nostalgic shops. Nags Head Ben Franklin, however, has withstood the test of time and adapted to the needs of its customers to provide a memorable shopping experience on the Outer Banks.

 

Debbie Terry Tolson, manager of the Ben Franklin location in Nags Head, recalls working with former owner Tommie Daniels. Daniels’ father, Moncie Daniels, started the business in downtown Manteo in the early 1900s. The Daniels family has been a longstanding fixture in the Outer Banks business community—Moncie even sold gas to the Wright brothers in 1903.

 

Tommie, with an excellent business mind, saw the opportunity the new Bypass presented and, in 1977, he opened the Nags Head location of Ben Franklin. He was one of the first businesses on the Bypass,” Tolson says.In addition to a new location, the Ben Franklin store saw a new group of customers.

 

“People would come from all around because Tommie had a little bit of everything—it was more like a five and 10 then,” Tolson explains. “As he went to the beach, he began to get more tourists, so he started catering more and more to visitors.”

 

Today, the 21,000-square-foot souvenir shop quickly catches the attention of anyone driving by thanks to the ocean-themed mural that decorates the façade of the building, painted by local artist Rob Snyder. This Ben Franklin location has become the must-stop shop for both first-time visitors to the area and generations of families who escape to the Outer Banks annually.

 

Tolson credits the great prices and friendly customer service to the success of the location, which keeps families returning.“People come in all the time and tell me, ‘my grandmother or my grandfather used to bring me here and now I’m bringing my children,’” she shares. “One of my favorite parts about working here is seeing the people come back year after year.”
