New to the Carolina Designs program for the 2024 season!
Escape reality and travel Into the Mystic for a memorable and relaxing Outer Banks experience. This 6-bedroom vacation home is located in Corolla, within the Ocean Sands subdivision. An oceanfront location means you and your group will enjoy all the beauty that the horizon of the Atlantic has to offer right from the comfort of your home away from home. The top floor features an open floor plan with a modern coastal vibe and east-facing picture windows you'll never tire of looking through. Four of the six bedrooms offer private baths; all of the bedrooms are equipped with Smart TVs. Gather your competition-loving housemates and meet in the rec room, where you'll find a foosball table, or outside where you'll find a poolside basketball hoop and ping-pong table.
A private, fully-fenced pool is yours to relax or play in all week. Poolside loungers surround the pool area, and a hot tub is also nearby, so no matter your preference - splashing, basking, or relaxing - you can do it while staying at Into the Mystic. Make your way to the shoreline via a short walk to one of the two beach accesses on either side of the house. Both accesses are a mere two houses down, so pack your beach essentials and spend the day watching the waves roll in.
Conveniently located across Hwy. 12 is a Harris Teeter and a Duck Donuts. Stocking up on groceries for your stay or running out to grab that one last ingredient for a delectable meal will be a breeze. Likewise, enjoying a warm, freshly prepared donut in the morning couldn't be easier. As a guest in Ocean Sands Section E, you and your guests have access to the subdivision tennis courts - more details below.

Central to the ground floor is a rec room with a foosball table, mounted Smart TV, sofa and stool seating options, and a wet bar with sink and mini-fridge with icemaker. Two bedrooms offer sleeping accommodations for six - one is furnished with a twin bunk and trundle, and the second has a pyramid bunk. A shared full bath with a shower/tub is available for those sleeping or hanging out on this level.
Enter the fully-fenced pool area and gaze at the sparkling blue water of your private heated pool to enjoy during your stay. Poolside loungers are positioned around the pool for those who want to soak up a little Vitamin D. The hot tub is bubbling and ready to help you relax. Outdoor speakers on the pool deck invite you to turn on your favorite playlist and let it play all day. A poolside basketball hoop and an outdoor ping-pong table bring the competition from the rec room outdoors. A poolside bar with four stools is adjacent to the steps that lead from the middle floor deck down to the pool area. Two stools are shaded in case you need a break from the sunshine. An outdoor shower stall and a foot wash are both available for when you're ready to rinse off and retreat indoors.

Three bedrooms and laundry facilities make up the middle floor. Two bedrooms are furnished with king beds; one has a queen bed. All three bedrooms have private baths and Smart TVs. One king and the queen bedrooms have a shower/tub, the other king bedroom has a walk-in shower. Both king bedrooms have sliding glass doors leading out to the middle floor deck with outdoor seating and a loveseat hammock swing.

As you ascend the stairs to the top floor, you are greeted with stunning and uninterrupted views over the Atlantic Ocean. The pale blue of the sky meets the deep blue of the ocean, merging with the rich green of the dune grass along the nearby horizon line, and you're immediately transported into vacation mode. The clean lines and the modern coastal decor of the great room, dining area, and kitchen make up the gathering space on this level. The great room has an L-shaped sectional facing a Smart TV mounted over a seasonal gas fireplace. A sliding glass door in the great room is between two large picture windows, begging you to go directly out onto the deck and feel the breeze off the ocean. A large dining table sits in front of an even larger wall of picture windows allowing breathtaking sunrises to wake you with your morning coffee as you start each day. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including two dishwashers, an oven, a refrigerator, and a microwave. A Keurig, drip coffee maker, crockpot, and griddle are provided as well. A few steps above the great room is a ship's watch. The king bedroom on the top level has direct deck access via a sliding glass door, a private bath with a walk-in shower, and a Smart TV.

Updates for 2024: One of the middle floor king bathrooms was remodeled which includes the removal of the whirlpool tub, updating the walk-in shower, and adding a water closet; ping-pong table added to pool deck. New photos to come.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees, the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 80 degrees.

Tennis: Guests in Section E of Ocean Sands have access to tennis courts located in Sections D, F, and J. The Section D court is located at the corner of Marlin Way and White Whale Way. The Section F court is located at the corner of Sandfiddler Trail and Surf Song Lane. The Section J court is located at Seabird Way. (Please note that the Section J court is separate from the private Swim & Tennis Club courts and pool located nearby, which is not part of this home's amenities.)
