Beach fans don’t have to venture very far to enjoy a big meal on or off the shoreline, thanks to this small addition to the Outer Banks dining scene that is brimming with flavor. Located in the local's favorite breakfast spot parking lot, Stack Em’ High in Kitty Hawk, Anchor Grill OBX is a fast and fresh food truck destination that has plenty of variety and easy-going fare to go around.
Anchor Grill OBX is a 30-foot-long restaurant on wheels, but it’s more than just an average food truck. Culinary-trained Chef Jim serves as the “anchor” of this eatery, and the menu features a number of unique and familiar offerings, including cheesesteaks and burgers, fresh sandwiches and wraps, and fish tacos and steamed shrimp. With lots of local and Outer Banks-inspired flavor in a small destination that’s close to the Beach Road, folks will find that it’s easy to hop over the dunes or stroll across the street to pick up plenty of fresh food to go. Open seasonally for lunch and dinner, Anchor Grill OBX proves that great food can easily come in small packages.
