Nestled amongst live oaks and pine trees, The Loft at Oyster Pointe is a beautifully decorated, one-bedroom condo featuring a queen en suite as well as an additional loft with a queen bed, providing comfortable accommodations for smaller groups, but with high end touches not found in most of the compact rentals on the Outer Banks. Located on a very private, quiet, soundside street in Kill Devil Hills and boasting lovely decor, an abundance of top-of-the-line electronics, and a long list of community amenities, this exceptional condo is sure to be a hit with the entire family.

Guests will enjoy large Smart HDTVs, custom-designed bathrooms, hardwood floors, and more. With an open concept on the main level, you will find a fully-stocked kitchen and living area with a super-sized flat-screen Smart TV equipped with a DVD player, making it the perfect spot for movie night. You will also have access to a private sun deck and views of the community pool. For sleeping quarters on this main level, you'll find a spacious queen en suite with another large flat-screen Smart TV. On the top level is a cozy loft area, effectively acting as a second bedroom, complete with bird’s eye views of the pool and a large flat-screen Smart TV with a DVD player.

Just a short drive (approx. 1 mile) from the beach, The Loft at Oyster Pointe is located conveniently at milepost 7.25, tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood away from the summer traffic. With 6 beach accesses within a half-mile, you will be able to pick the best spot for you and your family. Adding to the theme of relaxation, once guests of The Loft have had their fair share of beach time, they can come back to the property and enjoy the pool, which is private to guests of the community.

The Loft at Oyster Pointe is also conveniently located close to restaurants, shopping, and family-friendly activities, including Lost Treasure Golf, the Wright Brothers Memorial, the splash pad and playground at Meekins Park, two grocery stores, Duck Donuts, Max’s Italian Restaurant, Goombay’s, and so much more. The Oyster Pointe community is also just a short walk from many of the area's sound accesses. These sound accesses can come in handy if the wind and waves are making the beach hard for the little ones to enjoy kayaks and paddleboards.

Community pool available from 5/16/25- 10/11/25, 8 AM to dusk. Pool dates are subject to change based on HOA. Please note there is a refundable $50 deposit plus tax for the pool/tennis key fob. The key fob must be returned to the Kitty Hawk office upon departure.

Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar

Welcome to the home of the happy oyster where for over 40 years the oyster has been our world. The Outer Banks only authentic oyster bar is the place to enjoy sensational fare from the sea washed down with your favorite brew or cocktail. We serve by the peck, pound, and dozen, raw or steamed to perfection. Kicked back casual, down to earth friendly staff, and reasonable prices make Awful Arthur’s Oyster Bar the all-time favorite of locals and travelers alike.

The idea wasn’t to set out and establish a new concept restaurant on the Outer Banks, but that’s exactly what Awful Arthur’s owner Jo Whitehead and her late husband, Jay, accomplished more than 35 years ago when they opened the area’s first authentic oyster bar.

Awful Arthur’s opened in May 1984 on the Outer Banks. “We embraced the concept of an authentic copper top bar with the idea of it being a major drawing card and it still is,” explains Whitehead. “I get oysters wherever they are local. We follow the warm waters.”

Just across from the ocean, in Kill Devil Hills, oyster season is year-round at Awful Arthur’s. Diners can take a seat at the copper-topped bar to observe the staff shucking oysters, served raw or steamed, along with shrimp, crab legs and clams all steamed to perfection.

It’s not just the raw bar that’s earned Awful Arthur’s both local and national recognition, including being named one of America’s greatest oyster bars by Coastal Living magazine. The restaurant is a seafood-lover’s paradise, offering the freshest catches available.
