Overview

New to the Carolina Designs program for the 2024 season!

Whether you're inside or out, there is no mistaking you're on a beach vacation when staying at Seaphoria. Outside is a large private pool, a hot tub, a wide grassy yard, an outdoor shower, and as many poolside loungers as one could hope for. Multiple levels of decks allow you to enjoy the salty coastal air while overlooking the pool or looking on toward the horizon. Only three lots south is a public beach access with parking and a wooden walkway that leads over the dune and down onto the beach.

Four levels of living space offering twelve bedrooms with private baths, a den with a private bath, a rec room, a lounge, a theater, a room with arcade games and a poker table, an elevator that travels to every floor, and a large great room, dining area, and kitchen. There is no shortage of space in this home for your vacation group to come together or spread out, and there will undoubtedly be no shortage of fun memories made after an Outer Banks vacation in Seaphoria.

The ground level is all about outdoor enjoyment and entertainment. The private pool can be heated for an additional fee and has a sun shelf for young children or those who simply want to sit and relax. Poolside loungers and side tables line the edge of the pool, so if you're not quite ready to take a dip, you can still be part of the pool fun. A sheltered hot tub is poolside under a gazebo for shade and covering in the chance of a stray rain shower. Covered outdoor seating options are positioned under the house, and an enclosed outdoor shower for a quick rinse is also available. A large grassy backyard rounds out the impressive outdoor amenities here with a ping-pong table that is ready and waiting for the game-loving vacationers.

The elevator that travels to all floors of this home is accessible from the interior of this level.

First Floor

Over half of the rooms on the first floor are dedicated to fun gathering areas. Centrally positioned between the three other rooms is a lounge with a sofa, armchair seating, and a mounted flatscreen TV. The rec room has a pool table and a kitchenette with a sink, dishwasher, and full-sized refrigerator. The theater has many comfy seating options and a large projection screen. The fourth room is equipped with two arcade games and a poker table. All four of these rooms share nearby access to a half bath and deck access with stairs that lead down to the pool area.

There are three bedrooms on this level, each with a flatscreen TV and a private bath. Two bedrooms have king beds, direct deck access, and their bathrooms have walk-in showers. The third bedroom is furnished with two twin bunks, and the bathroom is equipped with a shower/tub. Laundry facilities are located on this level.

Second Floor

The second floor is made up entirely of sleeping accommodations. Six bedrooms are furnished with king beds; all of them have a flatscreen TV and a private bath with a walk-in shower. Three of the east-facing king bedrooms have access to a deck with ocean views. The seventh room on this level is a den with a queen bed and a private bath. A sliding glass door in the hallway leads to a west-facing deck that overlooks the backyard and pool area. Laundry facilities are available on this level.

Third Floor

The top floor encompasses a large gathering space that is the great room, dining area, wet bar and lounge area, and kitchen. The great room is furnished with two sofas, two armchairs, and a flatscreen TV mounted over a seasonal fireplace. Two sliding glass doors lead from the great room to the open deck with an outdoor dining and seating area for those who want to sip their morning coffee or evening drink while enjoying the sea breezes. The dining area inside consists of a large dining table fit to seat many, but there is also a wet bar area with an additional dining table and counter-height seating at the kitchen island. The kitchen has two dishwashers, two refrigerators, a gas range/oven, and a pantry.

Bedding on this level includes three king bedrooms with private baths with walk-in showers. Two of the bedrooms have direct deck access. Laundry facilities are available on this level.

Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 85 degrees.

EV Charger: A payment of approximately $0.45/kWh is required to use the onsite charger. Payment is made via a QR-code available on the charger at the house.

No trip to the Outer Banks is complete without cruising through Brew Thru, the Outer Banks’ original drive thru convenience store. Whether you’re looking for a refreshing cold beverage of Coke, Pepsi and other soft drinks on the go, stocking up your cooler with refreshments to enjoy at the beach or piling up on beer and wine for a party, Brew Thru is a fun and unique experience all vacationers need to see for themselves.

Brew Thru is Your One-Stop Shop at the Beach

The year was 1977, and Dana and Becky Lawrentz were chatting with friends over brews in their hometown of Akron, Ohio. They got to talking about a gas station convenience store in the area that had built a makeshift drive-through. Everyone agreed it would be pretty great if you could actually drive through a convenience store and pick up everything you needed without getting out of the car. But what would you call a place like that?

Well, you’d call it a Brew Thru.

It was an idea they couldn’t shake, so the Lawrentzes moved to the Outer Banks and built the first Brew Thru with the help of a partner. The idea was that people could come buy everything they would need for their trip to the beach—beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks, ice—without getting out of the car. That same year, a t-shirt salesman visiting the store and talked them into adding t-shirts to their product line—and 44 years later there are now more than five million Brew Thru t-shirts out in the wild.

The Lawrentzes’ daughter Brandy and her husband Philip Foreman purchased the business from them in 2002, and they now operate five locations across the Outer Banks.“We love being the one-stop shop for folks on the way to their beach house,” Foreman says. “Our car tenders are the friendliest people at the beach. We’re here to greet you, get you everything you need for your trip, load it up in the trunk for you, and have you leaving with a smile on your face.”

The store is quite expansive, featuring more than 100 brands of beer, dozens of wines and even a vast selection of cigars—not to mention all the snacks, t-shirts and other gear. To make ordering a little easier, customers in line get a menu—fondly known as the Summer-y—that outlines everything available at the store. These Summer-ies are also available in many of the beach rentals, which allows vacationers to decide what they want before driving through.

For customers who would like to get out and stretch their legs, there’s the Brew Thru Shop in Kill Devil Hills, where you can find their world famous t-shirts and other gifts. New t-shirt designs are created each year, making a yearly Brew Thru t-shirt a favorite of locals and annual visitors to the Outer Banks.

The Foremans both grew up in the Outer Banks, and they love that Brandy’s parents’ vision for a friendly and convenient place for people to grab their brews and other beach stay essentials is continuing to flourish.

“Our family has been welcoming people to the Outer Banks since 1977,” Foreman says. “We love this beautiful place, and we want everybody to get to enjoy it.”
