Thoughtfully designed to save you from reality, this beautiful home features nautical upscale furnishings, and has been professionally decorated both indoors and out. Awash with amenities, Crew Quarters includes a stunning outdoor area with private pool, outdoor bar, and hot tub, direct beach access with a dune-top oceanview deck, a rec room with poker, shuffleboard, and pool tables, home theater room, elevator, arcade, workout room, and more!

The entertainment possibilities are endless on the "orlop deck," or the ground floor. Play a friendly game of pool while the rest of the crew watches from the custom Stern Bar in the rec room, which also offers multiple flat screen TVs, a poker table, and a sitting area. This lower level Stern Bar/kitchenette features a full-size refrigerator, commercial ice maker, blenders, microwave, coffee pot, and a kegerator with tap, helping to ensure that snacks and beverages are within reach at all times. A dishwasher is also included for easy cleanup. Screen the latest flicks on the big screen in the adjacent theater room, which offers Apple TV, a large flat screen, and tiered seating. Play an exciting game of Golden Tee or Whac-A-Mole in the arcade; for the fans of old school games, there is classic Dome Hockey. Stay on track with a workout in the exercise room, which offers an elliptical, treadmill, and an array of medicine balls. Also included on the lower level are a sitting area, a half bathroom and a laundry room. Bedding on this level includes 2 king master suites, and a third master bedroom with two built-in pyramid bunksets.

Step outside the rec room doors and the fun continues in the outdoor recreation area. Grilling, tanning, swimming, lounging - the possibilities are endless. A sitting area with a stunning, custom oyster shell outdoor fireplace (available mid- Sept through mid-April) invites you to sit down and unwind. The large cabana bar with TV is perfect for catching the big game after splashing in the pool. A hot tub is located in the pool area for your relaxation pleasure, and a wet deck (or shallow area) in the pool is the perfect place to dip your feet and cool off. The Wilmington Grill is a "galley dweller's" dream, perfect for cooking out. The beach is just steps over the private walkway with dune deck.

The majority of the "tween deck," or mid-level, contains quarters for the crew. Nine master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and some with deck access, all have their own distinctive nautical decor. Take a break from the rest of the crew in the sitting room with TV and deck access. Two laundry areas are conveniently located on this level.

Crew Quarters boasts a light and airy great room designed to accommodate the entire crew on the "top deck." This bright and open room consists of the comfortable living area, fantastically appointed "galley" with large pantry, formal dining areas, and the completely unique "Bar-ge", a full bar housed inside an original replica life saving station boat. High-quality outdoor furniture on the surf-watch oceanview deck ensures your crew's comfort and brings the nautical theme outdoors. You can keep watch on the horizon from the spacious, partially covered surf-watch deck -- a scenic and comfortable post overlooking the Atlantic, especially during stormy seas. The sunrise on the surf-watch deck is amazing. If the sunrise is a little too early for your voyage, the ever enticing sunset on the sound side view is sure to compare. You can literally see both the ocean and sound from the "top deck" at Crew Quarters - without moving. The dining area has a variety of seating options, including a one-of-a-kind circular banquette that is sure to be a favorite of the littlest crew members. Rounding out the "top deck" are four generous master suites for the Captain and Lead Decks of your crew - three are kings, one is a queen. For your convenience, Premium quality linens and bed making service is provided for all arriving guests.

Carnival Treats at the Beach—With Flavorful Creations and Allergy-Friendly Options, Donutz on a Stick Serves Up Sweet Treats for Everyone

David and Stephanie were not always in the business of carnival confections. In fact, Stephanie was a fitness instructor and David worked in the computer field. But he loved donuts and she loved ice cream, and when they saw an opportunity to bring their favorite treats to beachgoers, they jumped on it.

In 2014, the couple opened their first Donutz on a Stick—a family-run, family-friendly dessert shop on the boardwalk. They quickly realized that in order to serve everyone, they would need to get creative. “We had a family who would come in, and one of the little boys would have to wait by the door because of his gluten allergy,” David says. “That didn’t sit well with us. We wanted everyone to come under the same roof no matter what kind of allergies they had. And we continue to work towards that goal.”

The Williams’ daughter Desireé spent six weeks experimenting until she created a gluten-free donut that was totally safe and delicious. Gluten-free donuts are now a huge part of the business, with more than 1,000 being served each day, just out of the Duck location. But you will want to call or stop by to reserve them in advance.

The Williams’ other three children, David, Justin and Christian, have all invented menu items as well, such as Christian’s donut milkshake, which features hot and fresh cooked donuts blended into a milkshake with another donut on top making it picture perfect.

While all the Williams have created menu items, the most popular pick—the donut sundae—was actually a happy accident.

“We were being featured in a local magazine and we could only have one photo for the article,” David says. Since both ice cream and donuts were equally popular, “we built the donut sundae for the photo and we discovered after the photoshoot that it tasted amazing. It was completely serendipitous.”

The Williams family is constantly creating and improving upon their recipes. At the heart of it all is a desire to see everyone come in and enjoy an experience together. They want to bring the carnival to your mouth.

“No matter how busy we are—even if there’s a line down the boardwalk—every customer gets that engagement and service from us,” they say.

The family has since opened a second location in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.
