The Tiger's Eye Golf Links is one of the five acclaimed “Big Cat” courses in the coastal Cape Fear region, and is an elite, daily fee course that’s carved into the heart of a virgin pine forest. Recognized by its dramatic elevation changes that are unique in the flat coastal area, this course is a great destination for golfers who love a challenge, with precision-shots and good short games required.
The course is located close to the NC / SC state line, and is situated just inland of the shorelines of Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach in the famed Ocean Ridge Plantation. Measuring 7,014 yards from the championship tees, and 4,502 yards from the red or easiest tees, (there are five tee sets total to cater to all abilities), the layout features sprawling, undulating Penn G2 bent grass greens and well-manicured TiftSport Bermuda fairways. With lots of natural waste areas, wildflowers, nature grasses, and water features, the scenic beauty of the 18-hole course almost overshadows the unique field of play. A great destination for vacationers who are staying in the Ocean Ridge Plantation or who are touring the coastal golf courses which are innumerable in this region, Tiger's Eye Golf Links is a fine challenge for golfers who are in the mood for something distinct.
