With a great location across the street from the beach, South Beach Grille is a nice old-style eatery with a tropical décor and a menu that’s a little bit out of the ordinary. The restaurant, painted ocean blue, serves chicken, pasta, steak and seafood, but they’re cooked with an international flair and tropical touches that makes them refreshingly different. Try the lettuce wraps, with veggies and tuna or chicken, for an unusual taste and texture combination! Also, the Asian- and Caribbean-inspired dishes include a number of delicious vegetarian choices, an option that is not always easy to find on a beach with so many seafood-dominated restaurants.
The menu also includes a generous number of appetizers ---- like potato skins with cheese and bacon, or crab stuffed mushrooms --- and a variety of sandwiches, quesadillas, burgers, steamers, wraps, dinners dishes and fried platters. There is also an extensive gluten-free menu available, as well as a kids’ food and drink menu.
The interior of South Beach is roomy, with big comfortable booths. Dining or drinks can also be enjoyed on a covered second story deck, where there is a panoramic view of the ocean and the sound. In the early evening, it’s a pretty good bet that there will be a glorious sunset to top off the delicious food. Don’t forget to ask about Happy Hour discounts and daily drink specials.
Live entertainment at night on the weekends, and karaoke during the week, is offered in the summer.
