O'Neal's Sea Harvest

With O’Neal’s Sea Harvest in Wanchese, you can skip the middle man and get your seafood from the source, where it’s caught, cleaned and cooked.

O’Neal’s is a family owned and operated licensed seafood wholesaler that also hand picks a selection from the daily catch to offer for sale to the general public. The company offers a large variety of fresh and frozen seafood including deep sea and inshore fish, hard and soft-shell crab, as well as North Carolina shrimp and ocean scallops.

Also on part of the retail store is a restaurant where all this fresh-caught seafood is prepared and served for lunch (11 - 3) either as a Crab BLT or seafood basket. The eatery also serves burgers, along with steak and chicken sandwiches and sides that include okra, oysters and fish - along with homemade deserts and daily specials - all for very affordable prices. Included is a kids menu and often hard-to-get southern sweet tea.

In the store, you’ll also find condiments and recipes for preparing your seafood at home and T-shirts and hooded sweats in youth to extra large adult sizes for sale as well. Seafood prices may vary throughout the season, which allows O’Neals to offer customers the best prices. Off-season the store closes earlier.
