Old Bridge Diner is a classic breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot that’s both budget-friendly and easy to reach for visitors who are staying both on and off Oak Island. Located on Country Club Drive, and almost hidden next to a busy convenience store and gas station, Old Bridge Diner attracts locals and frequent visitors alike with its classic American staples, seafood dishes, and southern favorites.
The menu is basic but appealing to big appetites, with a wide range of pancakes, egg platters, and breakfast sandwiches for early morning patrons, and a wide range of sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, southern platters, and even classic Italian pasta dishes for lunch and dinner patrons. (Although breakfast is typically available all day as well for late risers.) Hungry patrons can start with an appetizer, salad, or the locally acclaimed clam chowder, and then move on to a fried chicken, fried fish, or land lover sandwich or burger. Though the lunch and dinner fare is nicely varied, Old Bridge Diner is arguably best known for its breakfast fare, thanks to big omelets, biscuit sandwiches and platters, and plenty of hot coffee for an energizing wake-up call. As such, it’s a good option for patrons who need a little fuel and a full meal before heading to the Oak Island beach.
