Looking for a roomy boat that carries up to twelve anglers? The Doghouse is your year-round choice! She fishes out of Broad Creek Marina in Wanchese and is available for a variety of fishing trips and ready to customize one for you. Doghouse books full-day offshore trips where you will target game fish such as tuna, marlin, mahi-mahi, wahoo and king mackerel. Winters find her cruising for stripers, also called rockfish. Half-day trips focus on blues, Spanish mackerel, flounder, a variety of bottom fish and cobia and red drum. Offshore bottom fish go for grouper, tilefish, black sea bass, and red snapper.
All you have to carry on your trip is food and beverages. They supply professional tackle and all the licensing necessary. You will be cruising local waters in a roomy 61-foot vessel with plenty of seating including the bridge!
The Doghouse also is available for tournament fishing. Wear comfortable sport shoes and dress in layers and according to the season. Don’t forget your sunscreen! The hours indicated are for Broad Creek Marina.
