Dajio

Located in the center of Ocracoke village, Dajio showcases the best of local ingredients in a fresh and distinctive menu that borrows inspiration from the heart of the island. With a mouth-watering array of brunch, lunch, and dinner items, food fans will always find something to crave at this popular eatery that has plenty of flavor to go around.

Dajio was established in 2008, and in its more than 10 years of operation, the restaurant has searched the island for the best local ingredients possible to create a menu that is “Ocracoke from Scratch.” Based on what’s seasonally available, and what’s from the island landscape or the Eastern North Carolina region, patrons will be treated to a wide array of fare that is miles away from ordinary. The brunch menu, which is served daily until 2 p.m., is stocked with classic favorites like omelets and fried chicken and biscuits, while the all-day and dinner menus are brimming with tempting appetizers, main dishes, sandwiches, salads, and a sample of almost everything under the Ocracoke sun. With a fun and lively atmosphere and ample variety for diners of all taste, Dajio is a great spot to explore and uncover all of the flavors that Ocracoke Island has to offer.
