Discover the beauty of the natural landscapes and abundant wildlife of the Outer Banks with this special program that is hosted by the National Wildlife Refuge. Featuring the artwork of stunning wildlife photographers and artists, this opening reception is a great way to explore the area scenery, and the talents of the local art community – all in a single September event.

The Wildlife & Wildlands Art Expo is held at the National Wildlife Refuge’s Visitors Center on Roanoke Island in the town of Manteo, which is makes it easy to reach for visitors and locals who are staying throughout the central Outer Banks. Featuring a myriad of works that are exhibited at the 100-seat auditorium within the visitors center, the public can enjoy a viewing of a collection of perspectives that highlight the local flora and fauna of the Outer Banks and beyond. Food and drinks are provided for all attendees, and the art expo as well as admission to the visitors center is free to the public. Join in the fun, and discovera highly anticipated event that occurs annually to the delight of nature fans and art lovers everywhere.
