Watermen's Retreat

To complement your water sports getaway, wedding or Hatteras vacation, Watermen’s Retreat provides luxury condominiums on the Pamlico Sound in Waves, all with spectacular views of the sound or the Atlantic Ocean.

It’s also located right next door to the REAL Flagship Store, Lesson Center and Watermen’s Bar & Grill, allowing convenient access to all the lessons, gear, equipment and clothing you’ll need for surfing, kiting and standup paddle boarding, along with food and drink, live entertainment and special events. There’s enough variety of activities available on site to keep everyone in your group happy and occupied without having to travel anywhere else.

Tastefully decorated and outfitted with full kitchens, custom German cabinets, granite countertops and teak floors, the Retreat’s 14 units also include flat screens in every room and other modern conveniences and décor, and all include private access to the sound. First floor condos are 1,000 square feet with two bedrooms and a bath and a half, and second and third floors offer larger spaces, all with an extra bedroom and bath.

The Retreat is a winner of Outer Banks Parade of Homes’ prestigious  “Best in Class” overall award and “Best Feature” for its kitchen and bar.

Despite it luxuries, convenience and amenities, Watermen’s rates are reasonable and include special travel packages with and seasonal rates as low as $99 per night.
