Sitting on an acre of land, Open Ocean is quite a sight. Enter the ground level covered entry porch via the ramp or the stairs. The lowest level of this home includes eleven king bedrooms, all with private baths with walk-in tile showers. Nearly every bedroom on this level has access to either an east or west-facing deck, and because of the width of the lot, five of the bedrooms face toward the ocean. The 12th bedroom on this floor is a bunk suite with three custom-built double-over-double bunk beds, an in-room lounge area for TV watching or video games, and a private bath with a shower/tub, a favorite setup for the younger members of the group.
The ground floor sitting area has a mounted TV and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, a sink, a dishwasher, and a Keurig, making early mornings and late-night snacks easy without a trip upstairs. All five east bedrooms and the centrally located lounge have sliding glass doors that lead to a deck that spans the width of the house. There is an outdoor ping-pong table, a wide array of outdoor seating options, two enclosed outdoor showers, and stairs that lead to the deck above. A laundry room with two washers and two dryers keeps beach towels and swimsuits in constant rotation.

The rec room offers a wall of windows that overlook the pool and on toward the ocean, as well as a sliding glass door that leads to the large middle floor deck and the elevated walkway to the pool area. Amenities to enjoy in the rec room include a pool table, shuffleboard, and a seasonal fireplace positioned under the large flat screen TV.
A nearby second kitchen offers two dishwashers, a sink, a standalone icemaker, a beverage fridge, a full-sized refrigerator, an oven, a microwave, a Keurig, a blender, a pantry, and counter height seating at the wrap around island. There is additional bar-height seating against the theater room counter in the rec room, so snacks and drinks are always within reach of the action. The theater room offers an arcade machine and an oversized projection screen TV with a DVD player, so you can enjoy a unique movie experience in the comfort of your vacation home.
Bedrooms on this level include nine kings with private baths, all with walk-in tile showers, and one with special access amenities. Three of the king bedrooms have sliding door access to the oceanside covered deck; five have access to west-facing covered decks. A half bath and a second laundry room with two washers and two dryers complete the floor.

Breathtaking views greet you as you enter the top floor, where you can step onto covered or open decks that overlook the pool and ocean to experience jaw-dropping views. The great room includes multiple sitting areas and multiple flat screen TVs, with room for the whole group to spread out at the end of a long beach day.
The kitchen is designed to feed a crowd with three kitchen islands, one with bar seating for twelve and a serving buffet. Appliances in the kitchen include three refrigerators, five dishwashers, two microwaves, four ovens, two 6-burner stoves, an icemaker, three sinks, as well as multiple Keurigs, drip coffee makers, and blenders. The dining area provides six tables with six chairs each, and there are six extra chairs available throughout this level.
Bedrooms include two oceanfront kings with private baths, both with walk-in tile showers (one also has a soaking tub). There are three king bedrooms on the west end of this level, two of which have access to their own private deck, while all of them have private baths with walk-in tile showers. The sixth bedroom on this level has two twin beds and a private bath with a walk-in tile shower. A half bath and a third laundry room with two washers and two dryers are also found on this floor.
The Kill Devil Hills Location
Kill Devil Hills sits in the heart of the Outer Banks, and this oceanfront home enjoys direct beach access along a stretch of the Atlantic where lifeguards are stationed every half-mile during the summer season. Beyond the sand, guests find a network of bike and walking paths, parks and playgrounds, a community skate park, and the excitement of go-carts, bowling, miniature golf, laser-tag, and the movies. The Wright Brothers Memorial, home to a reproduction of the 1903 Wright Flyer, is a treasured national historic attraction nearby. Grocery stores, surf shops, colorful boutiques, and dining from finer restaurants to family fare line the beach road and the bypass, while a drive out to Colington Island winds through maritime forest toward the sound and fresh local seafood.

Special Events Welcome: $3,500 special event fee and $3,000 refundable security deposit required for all special events. Maximum of 100 attendees, including the guests already occupying the home. Pool: Heated by propane. Max. pool temperature is 85 degrees. The 2026 pool season runs 4/5/2026 through 10/25/2026, and the 2027 season runs 3/28/2027 through 10/24/2027, with pool heat available for $700.00.
Special Access Amenities: This home offers a ramp leading to the front entrance, an elevator that travels to all floors, a king bedroom (#7) on the middle floor features a large roll-in shower with safety bars, a comfort-height toilet with safety bars, and a roll-under sink with accessible faucet controls.
