Every bedroom is outfitted with a Smart TV, a dresser, a nightstand, and its own private en suite bathroom, so no one in your group has to share.
For entertainment, the recreation room includes a pool table, shuffleboard, and foosball table for friendly matches. Movie lovers and sports fans will gravitate to the indoor theater room. Outside, the resort-style backyard features the large 45' x 21' pool, a hot tub, a covered cabana with cushioned lounge seating, a BBQ area, a poolside cabana bath, and two outdoor showers. Direct beach access leads to the sand and surf of the Outer Banks.
Exterior deck stairs provide easy access to every floor, plus the pool, the Weber BBQ area, and the beach. Situated between the main home and the separate cabana poolhouse is the private pool area, outfitted for prime outdoor fun, with a hot tub adjacent to the pool. The pool suits guests of all ages and can be heated for comfortable shoulder season swimming (for an additional fee).
The covered cabana sits beside the sliding glass door that opens to the poolhouse, where you'll find two king bedrooms with private baths, a sitting area with a sleepsofa, and a shared half bath with a washer and dryer. This separate living space is ideal for a small family that wants to be housed together, or for a group that prefers a little distance from the main action.
Back outside, two outdoor showers are available for rinsing off salt and sand. A staircase alongside the poolhouse leads to the sun deck and on to the beach, which means transitioning between lounging poolside and lounging oceanside is a breeze. (Please note that for safety purposes, the sliders that open to the pool have alarms since the pool is not completely fenced in. Instructions for disarming are available in the home. The alarm is disarmed from sounding by pressing a button.)
Inside the main house on the ground floor, the bedding includes seven bedrooms, each with a private bath and a Smart TV with streaming capabilities. Six bedrooms have king beds, and the seventh bedroom has two pyramid bunksets. All of the king bathrooms have tile showers. Both the southeast and northeast king bedrooms have sliding glass doors that lead to the pool area. The bunk room offers a bathtub and a Smart TV. A sitting lounge with an office desk and a laundry room with a washer and dryer are also located on this level.

Equipped to prepare meals for a large group, the kitchen offers two refrigerators with icemakers, one freestanding icemaker, coffee makers, and two microwaves. The great room overlooks the pool and looks on toward the beach, and it holds two separate sitting areas made up of groupings of sofas and leather wingback chairs. One of the sitting areas is arranged around a flatscreen TV and a seasonal fireplace (available October through March). An offset "sunset room" consists of four chairs for quiet conversations or a card game among a smaller group, and a door from this area leads to the west-facing deck.
There are two king bedrooms on this level. The northwest king bedroom has a private bath with both a tile shower and a jetted bathtub, a door that opens to a west-facing deck, and a TV with streaming capabilities. The other king bedroom offers a private bathroom with a tile shower and a TV with streaming capabilities.

The last flight of stairs leads to a lounge with a futon and a flatscreen TV with streaming capabilities, essentially an additional media area. Walk down the hallway to two queen bedrooms. Kill Devil Hills sits in the heart of the Outer Banks and is a favorite for active families. As an oceanfront home, Ocean Views enjoys direct beach access, and this stretch of the Atlantic is staffed with lifeguards every half-mile during the summer season. Beyond the sand, guests find a network of bike and walking paths, a community skate park, playgrounds, go-carts, bowling, miniature golf, laser tag, and the movies.
The Wright Brothers Memorial, where Wilbur and Orville Wright made the first powered flight in 1903, is a short drive away and houses a reproduction of the Wright Flyer. Grocery stores, surf shops, colorful boutiques, and dining options ranging from finer restaurants to family fare line the beach road and the bypass. Venture off the main roads to Colington Island, where fresh seafood is caught and sold and a narrow road winds through maritime forest toward the sound.

Pool: Heated by dual pool heat! The pool is heated by heat pump and defaults to propane if the ambient air temperature falls below 65 degrees. The max pool temperature is 85 degrees. The 2026 pool season runs 4/5/2026 to 10/25/2026 and the 2027 season runs 3/28/2027 to 10/24/2027, with pool heat available for $800.00.
