A spacious 18-bedroom estate on the ocean's edge, Ocean Views is located at Milepost 8 in Kill Devil Hills. With amenities galore and the tremendeous 45' private saltwater pool (can be heated with fee), there is something for everyone, indoors and out.
Sixteen of the eighteen bedrooms are located in the main house across four levels of living space, and a separate private poolside cabana houses two additional suites and a living room. All bedrooms include a SmartTV, a dresser and night stand, and its own private en suite bathroom. Ocean Views' recreation room provides a pool table, shuffleboard, and a foosball table for friendly competition, and the indoor theater room with a 78" screen will impress the movie buffs and sports fans of your group. The backyard resort includes a sparkling, 45' x 21' pool, a hot tub, a covered cabana wet bar, BBQ area, poolside cabana bath, outdoor showers, and the connection to a private walkway that leads directly to the main attraction - the sand and waters of the Outer Banks beach! Rear exterior deck stairs provide easy access to all floors and pool/BBQ area/beach. Additional amenities include an elevator, Smart TVs with streaming capabilities, Echo Dots throughout so that guests can enjoy their own tunes, and an Xbox for the gamers. Spend a week relaxing in style while enjoying the breathtaking horizon at the spectacular, Ocean Views.

Situated between the main home and the separate cabana poolhouse is the private pool area, outfitted for prime outdoor fun, with a hot tub adjacent to the pool. The pool is wonderful for guests of all ages and can be heated for optimal shoulder season swimming temperatures (for an additional fee). The unique layout of the kiddie pool section is separated from the main pool by five stepping stones which allows water to flow through. There are six toadstool seats in the pool for those who want to be in the pool but aren't wanting to swim around.
A covered cabana wet bar offers a mini fridge and a sink. This wet bar area is adjacent to the sliding glass door that opens to the poolhouse, where you'll find two king bedrooms with private baths, a sitting area with a sleep sofa, and a shared half bath with a washer and dryer. This separate living space is ideal for a small family that wants to be housed together, or a group that prefers space from the main action.
Back outside, two outdoor showers are also available. A staircase alongside the poolhouse leads to the sun deck, to the walkway over the dunes, and on to the beach - this means transitioning between lounging poolside and lounging oceanside is a breeze. (Please note that for safety purposes, the sliders that open to the pool have alarms since the pool is not completely fenced in. Instructions for disarming are available in the home. The alarm is disarmed from sounding by pressing a button.)
Inside the main house on the ground floor, the bedding includes seven bedrooms, each with a private bath and Smart TVs with streaming capabilities. Six bedrooms have king beds, and the seventh bedroom has two pyramid bunksets. All of the king bathrooms have tile showers. The king bedroom in the southeast corner offers special access amenities -- a roll-under sink and barrier free shower. Both the southeast and northeast king bedrooms have sliding glass doors that lead to the pool area. The bunk room offers a bathtub, Smart TV, DVD player and a XboxOne. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is also located on this level.

Let the games begin! On the oceanside level of this home you'll find a spacious rec room, complete with a pool table, shuffleboard, poker table with chips, board games/puzzles, two flatscreen TVs on opposite ends of the room, and a kitchenette/bar with an Echo Dot. The bar area can act as a second kitchen: five leather bar seats belly up to a granite bar slab, and there is a side-by side refrigerator, wine cooler, microwave, and dishwasher. Sliding glass doors lead from the rec room to a covered deck overlooking the pool. Behind the rec room is the theater room with cinema style seating for 11, a Smart TV with streaming capabilities, and a DVD player. Bedding on this level includes five king suites, each with their own private bathroom and a Smart TV with streaming capabilities. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is also located on this level.

Equipped to prepare meals for a large group, the kitchen offers two refrigerators with icemakers, two ovens, one freestanding icemaker, two dishwashers, two sinks, two Keurig machines (along with traditional coffee makers), a crockpot, two microwaves, and a wine cooler. The great room overlooks the pool and on towards the beach, and has two separate sitting areas consisting of groupings of sofas and leather wingback chairs. One of the sitting areas is situated around a flatscreen TV and seasonal fireplace. An offset "sunset room" consists of four chairs for quiet conversations or a card game among a smaller group - a door from this area leads to the west-facing deck. The sunset room also offers an Echo Dot.
There are two king bedrooms on this level. The northwest king bedroom has a private bath with both a tile shower and a jetted bathtub, a door that opens to a west-facing deck, and a TV with streaming capabilities. The other king bedroom offers a private bathroom with a tile shower, a TV with streaming capabilities, and a DVD player.

The last flight of stairs leads to a lounge with a futon (this is the second advertised "sleepsofa"), bean bag chairs, flatscreen TV with streaming capabilities, and an Xbox One - essentially an additional media area. Walk down the hallway to two queen bedrooms. Both have Smart TVs with streaming capabilities, and a DVD player. One has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a tub, the other has a private bathroom with walk-in tile shower and raindrop showerhead.

Updates for 2023: All three refrigerators replaced, new dishwashers, new game table chairs, new cushioned seating and coffee table by the cabana (sofa, two chairs), new polywood outdoor bar stools, new lamps in the two poolhouse bedrooms, and a small coffee station was added to the poolhouse sitting area.
Updates for 2022: New bedding, new decor throughout, and new outdoor furniture. A new pool pump and pool heater installed.
Special Access Amenities: This home offers a bathroom with a roll-under sink and barrier-free shower, as well as a ramp that leads to the ground floor entrance (there is a small lip in the door frame leading into the home), and an elevator. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional information.
Pool: Heated by dual pool heat! The pool is heated by heat pump and defaults to propane if the ambient air temperature falls below 65 degrees. The max pool temperature is 85 degrees.
