The Kill Devil Hills Location

Kill Devil Hills sits in the heart of the Outer Banks and is a popular vacation spot for active families. As an oceanfront home, Ocean Luxe enjoys direct beach access, and lifeguards are stationed every half-mile along this stretch of the Atlantic during the summer season. Water sports are available on both the ocean and the sound.

Beyond the beach, guests can explore a network of bike and walking paths, parks and playgrounds, a community skate park, and family favorites such as go-carts, bowling, miniature golf, laser-tag, and the movies. The Wright Brothers Memorial, home to a reproduction of the 1903 Wright Flyer, is a treasured national historic attraction just minutes away. Grocery stores, surf shops, colorful boutiques, and a wide range of dining options line the beach road and the bypass, and a drive out to Colington Island takes you through maritime forest toward the sound, where fresh seafood is caught and sold.

Pool: Pool heated by propane. Max pool temp is 85 degrees. The 2026 pool season runs 4/4/2026 to 10/24/2026 and the 2027 pool season runs 3/27/2027 to 10/23/2027, with pool heat available for $800.00.

Special Access Amenities: This home offers a ramp leading to the front entrance and an elevator. The ground floor SE queen has a wheelchair accessible door that leads to the poolside deck (3 stairs to get from the deck to the pool area), and a bath with roll under sink, and low barrier custom tile shower. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant.

Special Events Welcome: $3,000 special event fee and $3,000 refundable security deposit required for all special events. Maximum of 75 attendees, including the guests already occupying the home. 2027 Holiday Week Check-In: Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.
