An unmatched vacation experience starts at Coastal Sol, a 24-bedroom oceanfront home designed to be the ultimate backdrop for your next Outer Banks reunion, retreat, or event. Decked out with endless indoor and outdoor amenities and perfectly situated in central Kill Devil Hills, this seaside estate offers a winning combination of style, comfort, and location, with 24 parking spaces so the whole group can arrive at once.

The fun starts outside, in the resort-style backyard. A glistening 47 x 21 private pool is the perfect place to cool off. Two covered lounge areas and a hot tub are available, the ideal spots to unwind in the shade. A sun deck overlooks the pool and on towards the ocean, and stairs lead to your personal beach access with a covered dune-top deck. Two outdoor showers and a gas grill round out the exterior amenities.

Inside is a rec room with a kitchenette and lounge area, so the entertainment is endless. For movie night, cozy up in the theater room, which offers tiered seating and a large projection screen TV. With 30 TVs throughout, free high-speed wireless internet, and an elevator serving the main living levels, this OBX vacation rental is built for large groups who want space to spread out.

The best place for family and friends to gather at the end of long vacation days is the oceanfront great room. This open-concept area features the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Sliding doors lead to covered decks to enjoy sweet sea breezes and relaxing water views. Two dogs are welcome with an additional fee, and a highchair is provided for your youngest traveler. Coastal Sol offers Sunday check-in.

The Kill Devil Hills Location

Coastal Sol sits at Milepost 9 in Kill Devil Hills, an area known for oceanfront and semi-oceanfront homes with private pools, hot tubs, dune top decks, and direct beach access. Beyond the sand, a network of bike and walking paths connects nearby parks, playgrounds, and a community skate park, while go-carts, bowling, miniature golf, laser tag, and the movies are all close at hand. The Wright Brothers Memorial, home to a reproduction of the 1903 Wright Flyer, is a short drive away.

Grocery stores, surf shops, colorful boutiques, and a wide range of restaurants line the beach road and the bypass, and a detour to Colington Island leads through maritime forest toward the sound, where fresh seafood is caught and sold. Water sports are available on both the ocean and the sound, making this a favorite stretch of the Outer Banks for active groups.

Thank you for helping to protect the dune beyond the fenced pool area. The dune is not available/accessible to guests.

Pool: Pool heated by heat pump for additional fee. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 80 degrees. 2026 pool dates are 4/5/2026 through 10/25/2026 and 2027 pool dates are 3/28/2027 through 10/24/2027, with pool heat available for $900.00.

Special Access Amenities: There is a ramp leading to the front entrance, and an elevator. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant.
