The Manteo Post Office conveniently is located in the Chelsey Mall on Hwy 64. It is a full-service site where visitors can purchase stamps, send packages and also rent a box for a fee. Mailing materials also are offered for sale including boxes and envelopes.
You can add to your stamp collection by purchasing a page of uncancelled stamps of your choice.
They have a single drop slot for after hours drop-off of both local and out-of-town mail. There also is a telltale blue mailbox located across the parking lot for easy drop-offs as well. Express mail generally goes out by 11 a.m. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. They will give you options for mailing prices for the asking.
