The Wave Pizza Cafe is a great location to enjoy freshly-made pizza, with one of the best topping selections you’ll find anywhere. The café consists of a small, artsy indoor dining area that extends out onto a larger, cozy deck to take advantage of the glorious view and cool breezes of the Currituck sound.
You can custom design your own pizza, at a dollar per topping, or choose from the Café’s ten beach theme specialty pizzas, like the vegetarian Surfer Girl, White Wave and Margherita or the meat lovers’ Beach Bum or Beached Whale. Diners with a more adventurous palate might choose to take on the sausage and jalapeno Blackbeard’s Revenge.
In addition to pizzas, the menu offers a variety of 8-inch Subs, including all meat combinations, as well as a Veggie version. Salads include a House, Italian and a breaded chicken breast and bacon, all with mixed greens and croutons.
Unlike other small eateries with their fast-food, fast in-an-out approach, this family-owned and operated cafe wants to be the kind of place you can kick back on its awesome waterfront deck, enjoy great food and drinks and “never want to leave.”
Located at Osprey Landing on the Currituck Sound in south Duck, Waves also offers free wi-fi, free delivery and access to the new Duck Boardwalk, which leads to other restaurants, shopping centers and Duck Town Park. Please call or check the website for fall hours.
“Hot Pizza, Cold Beer, and a Killer View,” is how The Wave sums it all up.
