Let the kids explore the roots of Roanoke Island on a multi-day adventure that combines learning, discovery, and miles of fun with this special day camp that focuses on the Lost Colony and the history of the Outer Banks.

The “Roanoke Island Explorers – Croatan Treasures” camp features a world of adventures in a just a few days’ time span, and is a great opportunity for kids ages 5-7 to learn all there is to know about The Lost Colony and the first residents of the Outer Banks. During this five-day adventure, kids will enjoy a tour of the famed Elizabeth II replica sailboat in downtown Manteo, will build their own tools, will enjoy a host of nature-inspired crafts, and will even embark on a themed scavenger hunt. Along the way, kids will be fascinated with stories about the golden age of piracy, the original Lost Colonists, and even the Native Americans who lived on Roanoke Island centuries before New World explorers arrived. The event is hosted by the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, and advanced reservations are required. With miles of fun to go around, this day camp is sure to be an enlightening and engaging experience for all young explorers.
