Roanoke Island Animal Clinic is a full-service clinic specializing in small animals. With four doctors on staff, they are able to offer care six days a week with a 24-hour emergency service. Care includes diagnoses, surgery and helping you with dietary needs.
They have a large and very caring staff on board. This includes their experienced professional groomer available for cosmetic work including clipping nails, bathing and more.
Flea dips are part of their offerings. They also stock an array of quality products including food, flea prevention products for your pets and flea powder for the home that is tried and true. This powder is the absolute best for infestations, which occasionally can occur at the beach.
The doctors also donate their time to care for Outer Banks wildlife and have assisted in caring for animals such as a loggerhead sea turtle and trumpeter swan. The work is pro bono, but donations always are accepted for this care.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. except Wednesday when they close at 1 p.m., the first and third Thursdays when they close from 1 until 3 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
