Roanoke Heritage Extended

Folks come to the islands to immerse themselves in the sea. You can do exactly that at Roanoke Heritage Extended where a wide variety of gifts, décor, jewelry and actual shells and driftwood abound.

Visitors love the latitude in price points where there is something for everyone. Jeremy Bliven makes the perfect proprietor. He is the author of several children’s books featuring the delightful Stumpy, a pirate cat. You’ll appreciate the hand painted wooden fish by Jeremy’s father, Hubby, who illustrated Jeremy’s books.

Browse through a bevy of beachy items from individual shells and shell toothpicks to shell handbags, wreaths and capiz shell windchimes. Discover carved waterfowl and sea-themed puzzles as well as antique bottles and exquisitely painted furniture. Choose your favorite piece of driftwood or shell. The jewelry is fun and diverse including local potter, Jim Fineman’s ceramic pins and necklaces resembling leaves, starfish, shells, hearts and fish. One of the area’s most accomplished potters, Fineman also creates beautiful vases and other handcrafted clay items available here.

The shop is located in quaint downtown Manteo in waling distance to restaurants, pubs and plenty of gift shopping choices.
