Bearded Face Productions is proud to announce the entertainment lineup for the Second Annual Mustang Rock & Roast, which will return to Mike Dianna’s Grill Room in Corolla October 19-20.
Presented by Currituck Travel & Tourism, the Second Annual Mustang Rock & Roast will serve up the ultimate music and food experience, providing festival-goers with a full weekend of live music by 14 different bands as well as North Carolina oysters and barbecue.
Saturday will be headlined by seven-piece band The Motet, known for fusing fiery funk, simmering soul and improvisational inventiveness into a full on musical phenomenon.
Wild Adriatic, Big Daddy Love, Galaxy Dynamite, The Judy Chops, Urban Soil, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, Lee Ross, and the Mustang Outreach Program student bands will be playing an eclectic blend of rock n’ roll, Appalachian rock, psychedelic electronic space rock, reggae and Americana throughout the first day. From 2-5pm on Saturday, various local restaurants and chefs will be participating in a pork barbecue cook off. Festival-goers can sample a variety different interpretations of barbecue at the event and vote for their favorite.
Sunday will be headlined by Brooklyn-based nonet Turkuaz, who bring psychedelic, neon hues along with energetic funk, alternative rock, and R&B to the stage. Event guests can enjoy soul, psychedelic rock, bluegrass, progressive jazz, blues and heavy funk rock by Polyrhythmics, Songs From The Road Band, Lord Nelson, South Hill Banks, Dr. Bacon, Manday Huge and Lee Ross on Sunday along with an authentic North Carolina oyster roast.
Mustang Rock & Roast two-day tickets are $60 in advance and $70 day of show. Single day tickets (Saturday or Sunday) are $35 in advance and $40 day of show. The two-day and single day tickets include live music, unlimited food from the oyster roast and/or barbecue cook off, plus free access to the after parties at Sundogs. Children 12 and under are free.
A very limited number of advance only single day and weekend VIP tickets are available. The VIP tickets will provide a five-star festival experience with brunch and dinner curated by local celebrity chefs, access inside Mike Dianna’s Grill Room, three beverage tickets per day, a private bar, a commemorative poster, early access inside the venue, plus all the live music and food from the oyster roast and/or barbecue cook off. VIP tickets also ensure priority access to the after parties at Sundogs. Weekend VIP tickets are $199 and Single Day VIP tickets are $109.
A weekend shuttle pass is also available for $20 and features on demand service to all Corolla neighborhoods on the paved roads on the Currituck Outer Banks throughout the event. Before arrival at the festival, you will receive phone numbers for our drivers via email. They will be driving 7 passenger minivans/SUVs and will be available to transport you to and from the festival site at Timbuck II Shopping Village, the post parties and Sundogs and your vacation home or hotel/inn anywhere in Corolla (no 4WD beach service available to Swan or Carova Beach). Phones will be answered and service provided between noon and 3am both days of the festival. All shuttle passes must be purchased in advance.

A portion of the proceeds from the Second Annual Mustang Rock & Roast will go to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund and the Mustang Outreach Program. The Corolla Wild Horse Fund protects, conserves, and responsibly manages the herd of wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs roaming freely on the northernmost Currituck Outer Banks. The Mustang Outreach Program supplements the cultural arts programs in local schools with world class music performances, residencies and mentoring programs.
