Kids Art Party – Sandcastle

Kids who love building sandcastles on the beach will have even more fun creating their own sandcastle painting at this special Art Party that’s held in the heart of Manteo. Orchestrated by the Dare County Arts Council in Manteo, this two hour class will show kids how to create their own masterpiece with a postcard-worthy sandcastle theme.

The class is taught by local artist and instructor Mari Beth LaRose, and kids will be guided through every step required to create a masterful painting of their own personal sandcastle. By the end of the session, kids will go home with their own 11” x 14” canvas painting that will be a reminder of long and sunny days at the beach for years to come. The cost to attend the class is $30 for DCAC members and $35 for visitors, and the price includes a light snack and a drink, as well as all supplies required to create the ensuing masterpiece. Registration is available online, and kids of all ages are welcome, although kids ages 6 and up will need to be accompanied by a parent or adult. Perfect for artistic kids, this class showcases how much fun creating sandcastles can be – both on and off the shore.
