John Silver Gallery

Imagine lush color soaked in vibrancy and sensuality. You have envisioned the work of John Silver. The Roanoke Island artist and NC native has a gallery in downtown Manteo. He offers his expressive work featuring a wide variety of subjects as well as work by ten additional artists.

Whether Silver is painting wildlife, architecture or people, he imbues a sense of life and liveliness in the work. His energetic strokes and vibrant color mixed with rich neutrals commands the canvas and demands the viewer’s attention. Visitors are swept away by his wetlands, seas, musicians, animals and marine-themed works.

Silver fills the gallery with competent professionals lending a sense of harmony to the space. You will discover painterly impressions of the coast and city. Local photographer Ray Matthews shows his work here as does California’s Michael-Che Bratton, who has a passion for animals. A volunteer wildlife rehabilitator, Bratton captures texture, personality and love for fauna in stunning works.

Silver offers original art as well as limited edition giclees. Services include consultations, and delivery and installation and shipping both nationally and abroad.
