Enjoy an opportunity to meet the talented local shapers who call the Outer Banks home at this special event that commemorates International Board Builders Day. Held at the Outer Banks Boarding Company, this event is a great way for surfing fans to ask questions and meet and mingle with talented board creators to discover what makes a board truly fit for the local OBX swells.
International Board Builders Day is being celebrated in the town of Nags Head at a favorite local surf shop, which makes it nicely easy to reach for visitors from the beaches of Duck and Corolla to the S-curves and Lighthouse Jetties of Hatteras Island. During the day, surfing fans will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with a number of favorite shapers on the Outer Banks, which includes Lynn Shell, Murray Ross, Rascoe Hunt, Jesse Fernandez, Dave Rhode, and Scooter Halladay. The shapers will be happy to answer questions and chat, and will also have some of their own boards on display for folks who want to scope out the latest and greatest creations. Fun for all ages, this annual event is a great way to discover all there is to know about shaping and surfing on the Outer Banks.
