Active visitors and residents of all ages will have a hopping good time at this racing event that features plenty of Easter fun and activity along the way. Celebrating its 7th year in 2020, the Hoppin' 8k, 5k & Fun Run is a great way to celebrate the springtime season on the Outer Banks, with a beautiful exploration of Manteo and Roanoke Island, as well as plenty of ways to celebrate the holiday once the race is complete.

The Hoppin' 8k, 5k & Fun Run is a fundraising event, and this year’s race will raise money to provide assistance for Shaylor and Tess Meekins and their medical bills for Baby Edward Wright “Eb” Meekins. The event will kick off at 8:00 a.m. with the 5k race, and the one-mile fun run and pictures with the Easter Bunny will start at 9:00 a.m., which makes it a perfect outing for competitive runners and everyday families alike. Awards will be given for the top three male and female finishers of the 5k, and interested attendees can sign up online well before the race begins. With a lovely springtime atmosphere in the heart of Manteo, the Hoppin' 8k, 5k & Fun Run is an engaging race that family members of all ages will adore.
